There is another twist in this - the South African Manager has come out and made a statement saying there was nothing in the texts exchanged between KP and the Saffers. They have not been asked to provide anything and so will not be making any further comment.

It's a truly bizarre situation.
It's odd isn't it? He had to provide evidence that he didn't send anything derogatory yet the ECB hadn't seen the texts either.

He has a long history of opening his mouth before his brain is in gear. He's now back tracking at a furious rate.

It appeared to me from Tim Bresnan's comments tonight the team would be happy to see the last of him.

Seems like Broad and Swann with various acolytes have taken against him, it was Broad's mate that set up the rogue twitter account.

FWIW as much as Pietersen is a prick you don't have to be Sigmund Freud to see that Broad and Swann are a pair of dicks.

My thoughts are that the management should have acted earlier to clamp down on this kind of little gang trying to wield influence in the dressing room.

KP in the Surrey squad for the CB40 match tomorrow at Hampshire. Will be interesting to see the reaction he gets.

Got loudly booed walking out to bat.Got bowled 1st ball.Got loudly booed walking off. :D

It gets better, now it seems some of the texts he sent to Steyn were tips on how to get Strauss out.

They cut to it during the test, Alfred Hitchcock could not have set the scene any better, Pietersen, hair freshly dyed, playing his first game at Surrey for ages, at the Rose Bowl against one of his former teams which he left acrimoniuosly against a toxic crowd, unhappy with the way he left and his antics inside Team England. He comes up against a left arm orthodox, his kryptonite of recent times and gets an absolute corker first ball, curling into him in flight, before pitching leg and turning to take middle and off, it was his gatting ball.

Amazing to watch!

The subsequent revelations merely confirm he's done at International level.
