Jolly going down did the Pies a great favour. He would have fared no better at the centre bounce than Lynch, and become a liability in the wet. Lynch got smashed at centre clearances, but he was plenty strong enough to compete at the boundary throw ins and still has a great motor around the ground. Might be a case of out of Vic out of mind, but I have probably been guilty of under-rating him.

Anyway, watching Kreuz go at it just gladdens the heard like no one else on the list can. Contributes in a way that will never be measured accurately by numbers...plays with such menacing intent around the stoppages as Jolly came to find out, and never gives up on a chase. If the first couple of weeks output is his benchmark for the year I would happily take that.

Absolutely this. Said it 5mins after he went down. Jolly is a dinosaur, cannot jump and the centre bounces, and is virtually finished as a footballer. His only redeeming feature is he can go forward and kick a goal or two.

Last time they met, Kruezer annihilated him, and this was looking at heading in the same manner.

Credit to Lynch though. Been under-rated as a ruckman for a long time.

How bad does Russell look in black and white?

Stripes are bad enough, let alone ones as dull as Collingwood's colours.

He looked worse when Yaz "pinched" that mark off him in the second quarter.

he is in some great form, only thing i didn't like was him belting the ball forward at more centre clearances, i know he had a big advantage in height but they could have been smarter in the way they used this dominance

That was quite odd since I remember seeing Gibbs free and Kreuzer opted for the punch instead of tapping it to one of the free midfielders. Maybe the coaching staff told him to go the with the punch since it was the safer option.

He is a gun, if he keeps fit which i hope he does (he is great to watch) i think he will be somewhere in top 3 in the league within a few years.

I think he would look good in brown and yellow!
Yeah... Nah... maybe if his bog exploded after a night of curry and vb

Kreuzer clearly dominated. Great tap outs, good body use, notched some solid possessions and clearly outmatched his opposite number

As soon as he went down I said to myself, "okay now we're ****ed".

Very important player, we'll miss him.

Report in the Herald Sun this morning that he meets with the medical team this morning, but the club believe the injury isn't as bad as first thought. Where's Bluebear when you need him...
I really hope so HBF as he is the most important player in the side and was in fantastic touch!

By the way, what was with his strapped shoulder? Didn't seem to bother him, I just can't recall him ever having it strapped before.
