Alright, so we all know that there is a pretty big match going on this weekend that has been given the tag "The Kreuzer Cup"...

Basically, I am just wondering the impact that this game might have on one's DreamTeam? There has been a lot of talk about tanking etc, and this doesn't seem to have had a big affect on Carlton players scores the last few weeks...but what are the chances of it happening this week?

Personally, I only have Carrazzo from this game, and normally I would look at him as a realistic captain choice, but with draft picks on the line, I am not sure whether I can do so this week.

Does anyone else think this game might have an impact on a players fantasy score this week? Or perhaps I am just being paranoid...big grand final...a lot of bragging rights on the line

Hey mate, no need to make yourself all big by going on a personal attack...I was just putting it out there that it might be a possibility...

There has been so much talk of tanking....you're are honestly telling me that it isn't possible. you are the fool mate. Obviously you don't read the papers...if you did, then maybe you would have read quotes from past players, captains etc saying they want their team to lose....

And how do you think that might happen...star players not getting the pill? not playing as well? It might be far-fetched but it's a possibility...

who's the fool now mate...

And just for you, I hope Adelaide win on Fridey night....and that way you can just sit back and watch your precious lions on saturday night with no expectation of them making finals.

You are a tool mate...Scotland is in doubt with "general soreness", Fisher is likely to miss, there are a number of players who will be rested this week from Carlton and Melbourne who would play if there was any incentive for them to win...no doubt the 22 that go out there will play their little hearts out, but this is still a very valid post...

'Tanking' can be acheived at the selection table and in the coaches box, not on the field.

There is no way a player, at this level, wouldnt go hard at the ball, and try and win.

They've become elite athletes, and to go pro in any sport you have to have a very high competitive nature. There is no way the players out there dont want to get a kick and slot through goals and help the team. Even when im playing footy or basketball if im playing in a game that doesnt mean anything (practice match eg.) I still go out as hard as I can and try and get the pill as much as possible.

The only way this game might affect dreamteam scores is if Murph or Carrots is gettin clearances at will, and Ratten takes them off.

Will be intresting, I wouldnt not choose a captain because of 'tanking', but I think ill be going with Riewoldt or Pav. I dunno yet..

Tanking can most definately be achieved on the field. I do agree that it can have a much bigger affect at the selection table...

But, a player could quite easily kick it out of bounds on the full, rushed behinds, handballing instead of going for more damaging kick, kicking a behind rather than a goal....dropping a mark they might normally have taken....

There is a MILLION ways to tank on a footy field. I am not saying that it would happen...or that it even will...I just think it is an interesting point to consider.

Either way, I don't really care....I hope Carlton lose, and that the Tigers win....Stuff the pick, I would much rather get off the bottom and see the wooden spoon in the blues kitchen drawer

You're the tool, newbie! If Carrazzo has a niggling injury do you reckon that they will risk him? If Carlton were fighting for a spot in the 8 they would risk him, but not this week. So yes the tankfest will affect the better players dt scores, good thread:thumbsu:.
