Young Demon heading home to WA

SMALL forward Krstel Petrevski has informed Melbourne of her decision to head back to her home state of Western Australia.

Petrevski has played four games for Melbourne, debuting in the club’s first-ever final in 2020.

Womens.afl believes she will look to join West Coast to help bolster their forward line. A trade will be facilitated between the clubs once the official Trade and Sign period opens.

Trade done! Off to West Coast with Isabella Simmons and pick 77, with pick 50 coming back.

It comes on a big day of trades that saw Melbourne's Krstel Petrevski and Isabella Simmons traded West Coast as the Demons continue to strengthen their draft hand.

As previously reported by womens.afl, Petrevski was looking to return to her home state of Western Australia and land with the depleted Eagles. The clever small forward has kicked two goals from her four games, but has battled injury and a deep Melbourne list in her three years at the club.

Simmons, yet to make her debut, was inactive last season due to a foot injury, but made her return to VFLW footy recently.

“It’s always sad when players depart, but both Krstel and Isabella have been provided fantastic opportunities to progress their career in a new environment,” Melbourne's AFLW list manager Todd Patterson said.

The Demons have also sent their fourth round pick (No.77) to West Coast, receiving the Eagles' pick No.50 in return.
