Fantastic debut , the kid really handled himself looked right at home on the footy field, absolutly brilliant to see from a kp player knowing that they do take time to develop... might be up for rising star nomination ...
thoughts???

It did seem to me though that we did better when he was in the ruck, until he obviously tired in the last qtr - great game though, i think we have finally found our ruckman. Went ahead of hampson in one game.

great debut by him but I think anyone who saw palmer play would have to agree it would be hard to go past him. Unbelievable game for his second outing and backed up a good game from last week. Even josh hill would probably be ahead of him as he has put together 3 excellent games and the judges seem to reward that. Does however look very good.

Hill was nominated last week.

Didn't see Palmer's game as I left for the Blues v Bombers match, however, after playing two very good games, you'd think he'd get the nod ahead of Kreuz.

Fantastic debut by the Kreuze.

Really impressed me particularly in the first half. Tired a little in the 2nd half but that is to be expected, especially with the amount of running that he was doing around the ground which was encouraging to see.

I was also really impressed by his tapwork. He got his hands on the ball in the centre a fair few times. Whilst most of them weren't directed to a team mate, the basis is there and he'll improve from that.

Really good to see him also present us with another option up forward. Kicked 2 goals which caps off a really good debut match.

Not sure if he'll be nominated this week (Palmer looks to have it in the bag) but I'm sure that if he continues on like this, he'll be nominated in no time.

Let's not get too hung up on RS nominations. If he gets one, then great. I thought the way he went back after he took that mark in the forward 50, then went back and composed himself, and slotted it right through the middle was great to see.

I just have a feeling that we may have someone very special on our hands here.

plamer, kreuzer and mckinley are the three possibilities thus far this week...

however I must say that palmer went off the boil after half time... where as McKinley and Kreuzer were quite consistant for all 4 quarters

He's a gem no doubt (Kreuzer) but when the choice is close to 50:50 I don't really think that makes the recruiter show-out. I think it about getting the bulk of the choices right not just the really high ones.

Paf, I thought you were the intellectual of the board too....how can a 50:50 be an easier choice than a 75:25, an 85:15 or even a 60:40 for that matter??

It wasn't clear cut, although I expect most RM's probably had Kreuzer ranked #1. I heard good whispers of at least three RM's not having Kreuzer at #1. Long time draft enthusiast, Colin Wisbey had Cotchin at #1, and I heard whispers of at least two clubs ranking Cale Morton at #1. In the end I don't think our recruiting team thought it was as close as 50:50 like I did.

Kreuz was amazing in his debut, but I think you have to be in a winning team to get a nomination (am I correct?). When he gets his nomination, he'll definately give the rest of the competition a run for their money.
