Tippett is Setanta O'hailpin without the aggression.

Did you see Westhoff cut you guys up this year or did you leave halfway through?

Anyway, they play different positions.

A better poll would be Kurt Tippett or D.Stew. The OP was too scared to make that because he knew Stewart would win comfortably.

Good poll - Tippett has more potential, but Westhoff is probably slightly better performed to date.

Westhoff is probably ideal for the new trend of only having one big ruckman and another mobile, versatile tall - He showed plenty of form as a follower/backup ruckman in 2010, where Tippett is capable of backing up in the ruck, but is more comfortable as a forward and hasn't shown form as a follower.

Tippett wins narrowly due to exposed form as a goalkicker and the potential that unveils, but Westhoff is a very good player too.

the best thing about Westhoff V Tippett is that Justin plays as a third tall type as he should, where as big Kurt masquerades as a #1 target. its hilarious actually.

Honestly, easily Westhoff.

Tippet has had one decent season, and lots of really mediocre ones. You can't really ever count on him to stand up, and frequently goes missing for entire games. Got decent hands on him, and only a good if somewhat unreliable kick. Doesn't do enough for me.

Westhoff has performed well, particularly last year as a mobile tall who contributes around the ground and up forward. He'll be the better player by a country mile when it's all said and done. He's a natural footballer, and will fill out nicely and with a better tank he'll start to impose imo.

Adelaide fans, it's not an argument to just say the comparison is ridiculous - it's not. At least have something to say to back it up.

Would have the Hoff at the pies anyday. He'd be a nice replacement for Leigh Brown when he's done.

How has Westhoff got far more runs on the board?? Both have only had single stand out years (Hoff 07, Tippett 09).

We all know Tippett had an average year in 2010 yet he still scored 46 goals. Not to mention how structurally important he is. He always creates a contest and his second efforts are second to none for a bloke his size. All we need is a proper crumber to finish off his work. He frequently takes 2, sometimes 3 defenders with him. Westhoff on the other hand, spends much of his games running around by himself off a wing and rarely plays with an opponent while there. When he does go forward, he usually gets the 2nd or 3rd best defender too: A luxury no opposition coach would dare afford Kurt Tippett. That's the difference.
