Surprising and pleasing attitude towards the whole saga. What most Sydney supporters are seemingly forgetting is how depressed we'd all be feeling if a Reid, Jack etc wanted to leave and only nominated one club. Remember Jolly? It sucked!

If (and it's still if) we get Tippett for White & our first round pick then it's a bargain basement price, there's no denying that. I'll be hoping White goes well at the Crows, maybe it'll finally click and he'll play 150 games for them.

It'll be good when this is all settled and both supporter bases know where they stand, and we can get back to celebrating our flag.
Whilst I haven't forgotten, the circumstances panned out a bit differently for us compared to Adelaide. Had Jolly not been contracted we would've been in a much weaker position, such as Adelaide are in now. Brisbane apparently offered pick 8 to the Crows last year, so why didn't they take it? They knew he'd go, he'd made that pretty much clear after the last contract. Did they think they'd get more when he came out of contract?

The Adelaide list managers have screwed up on this.

Having said all this I really hope that if White goes to Adelaide he kicks on big time over there.

Well as happy as i am for white to come on board but trade week radio have just said that if the deal gets done adelaide have been absoloutely ripped off. Its all good & well taht u dnt wana lose a premiership player but tippett is a high priced playa just like a okeefe, grundy, shaw or reid. But hey u guys think he isnt & white is a fair price. how would u like to lose reid or kennedy & reveive a richard tambling?? taht is what is goin on. I have alot of respectfor sydney & dnt care wat happens as tippet is long gone, yes adelaide fans have carried on like cry babies. but as i said, the deal with white for tippet is like we gettin kennedy for richard tambling haha.
Except you'll also get our first round pick. So it isn't a straight swap.

he was 28 when he left...what did the swans want as a trade....2 first rounders?
I honestly don't get why Sydney fans have a bad rap about football knowledge. Rucks are in their prime around then and Jolly was easily one of the best ruck in the comp at that point AND contracted.

Was worth a top 5 pick, was coming off a season where he was either the #1 or #2 Ruckman in the game, and was in contract.

Tippett lucky to be in top 15 forwards in the league and uncontracted yet somehow he is supposed to be worth 2 1st rounders...

Yes actually. That would have been nice for a premiership ruckman, considered one of the top few in the comp at the time. Especially given he was 2 years into his contract on big money and 4 years to get him to stay last time. Sound familiar?

Then he nominates Collingwood much in the way Tippett has Sydney.

Difference between him and Tippett is he was contracted to Sydney. Additionally we lost some bargaining power when he wouldn't deal with anyone else but Collingwood. Therefore we didn't probably get full value for the trade.... much in the way you won't with Tippett.

Tippett isn't quite at Jollys level at this stage. We don't need him as much as Collingwood required a decent ruckman for a premiership tilt, just as we just won the premiership and don't really 'need' him. This negates their age difference to a large degree.

So our demand for him is not sky high, and if we were to lose him, it is not the end of the world. Tippett has nominated us and thus taken most of Adelaides bargaining power away, just like Jolly did with us.

White and 22 has sounded about right given the above circumstances.

Wow some serious delusion going on on Adelaide board, some of them still think we will trade Rohan/Parker to upgrade picks to give to them.

I would go correct them, but already had my Red for telling them the facts before.

Jolly with his walking stick the old man finished 6th in Collingwoods best and fairest in 2012. He finished 8th for us in 2008.

What will be or might happen with Tippetts career is irrelevant. What is relevant is he placed 15th in your best and fairest in 2012, is out of contract, has chosen Sydney and will deal with no one else.
It is your fault you gave up your bargaining power in 2011 when he finished 10th in your best and fairest and it was clear that he didn't want to be there!
