Id say its almost certain that Tippett will end up at GWS now. If I were you blokes Id be pretty happy about it. In my opinion if this is what happens you have dodged a bullet. Had the potential to be a massive distraction and destabilizing influence on your club.
Hope you are right, but I tend to think not.

I know they are cheering over on the crows board but how many clubs are going to take a player that dosnt want to be there. Dont forget that GWS said that during the trade period that they were interested and everyone cheered and talked about pick 3, yet no one could work out it meant nothing.

The most likely now I would say is Brisbane followed by Sydney. I say Brisbane because I have the feeling that the AFL with block Tippetts move to Sydney which would mean he would need to deal with Brisbane. If the AFL dont step in then 70/30 Swans / GWS.

Yeah I remain unconvinced about GWS
GC are completely against picking him up due to the impact it will have on their ability to retain players
I can only imagine it is the same for GWS, or even worse since it is an area where GWS already appears quiet strong.

I still believe the most likely destination for him is at the Swans, or Brisbane.

The AFL will put together some sort of side deal, outside of the cap to get him to GWS.

I was trying to have a discussion about footy. I then felt the need to correct you on the multiple incorrect statements you made previously regarding Adelaide and Adelaide players...

It was I who corrected you, you just come on here and tell us how great the crows are and why x crows player is better than x swans player, it offers nothing in the way of discussion at all

I agree. The bad clearly outweighs the good for them. It would only be arrogance (for want of a better word) that will see any other club try to get him - they think they can convert him. So, Brisbane is the one :) They don't call Vossy crazy for nothing.

The AFL are about to smash Melbourne for manipulating the system. Then they will move on to the Crows and do the same. Finally they will look at Tippett and his management and whack them.

And you are suggesting the AFL will go and manipulate the system themselves. No one there is that stupid. It wont happen, wishful thinking.

HOW? What did I say that was incorrect?

Basically everything you said about Adelaide was incorrect...
Your quote:

Where is Irelands chest beating now? "Negaotiations are moving nicely and we're very confident of a deal being done soon'.
He's been pretty quiet lately. What an arrogant flog he is!
Most here would think that was wrong.

I think your right, but it may in fact be the very reason Tippett wont slide if someone is prepared to pay him. In any other season he may have been able to actively avoid clubs and express his wishes. Its now the worst possible time to try that stuff, especially as GWS have made his recruitment a media circus.

Surely his managment would be advising him to tow the line, speak to whoever approaches him and just keep his fingers crossed that slips through on the wages issue alone.

even tippett fans seem to be of the view he hates the spotlight and is a quiet type, GWS would be a good fit. If they will pay him surely he will co operate

We all need to wait for the AFL findings. If they block his way to the swans then it is end of game. No need to worry about him sliding.

I just dont see GWS taking a player if he sits there and looks at sheeds and says " thanks for the tour of the facilities, but I do not want to play for you or with these guys". Imagine the coaching staff and players involved, they are not going to want him in the place. The risk is too great and I think that it wont be Sheeds who makes the decision it will be SOS and Cameron. Brisbane must be doing there sums.

Glad Folou has left the AFL and that GWS are going to make a play for Tippett. Hope he ends up there. Would rather see us play Cunningham than Tippett.

If Tippett ends up at GWS he'll rot playing for a shit side. By the time they're any good he'll be buggered.

Either way I don't care. I think I'd rather see the club keep the money and put it toward holding onto our stars of the future, like Cunningham.

there is absolutely no way the Giants cant afford him now. their list is full of 19 y.o's. how many of them would be on contracts upwards of $250k? not many i would suggest. he will only end up at the swans if he comes out from the rock he has been living under the last month and declares once again that Sydney is his only destination and is not interested in being a giant. otherwise, game over for the swans.
