No one's arguing that. The logical fallacy of making one comparison at performance at AFL level and another on potential is being highlighted.

Exactly

Tippett is better than reid based on games and experience

But whites 50 games mean nothing as johnston had a good sanfl year..

Basically whatever suits crows fans

No doubt the trade was a win-win for both clubs.

LJ is simply not a back - He plays a similar style of football to Walker, just without any confidence. I personally am glad they haven't played him in the back line, and with heath grundy ( ;) ) running around back there next year makes it even more sense to play him out on the 50 arch up forward.

I do remember the crows had him running around the back during the NAB cup and looked OK.
In one of the two games he played the year we traded him he was forced because of injury to go back and did ok.

I once had a conversation with Micky O who played a season on the half back flank and he believes it did him the world of good.

Capper for tippett is a fair trade or if warrick can't make the time in between movie shoots they can have Jesse White.

The crows have got to realise by now that Adelaide is not attractive to players even when they are in the mix for a premiership.

I have no idea how well white played this year in the reserves But conmpared to how LJ played this year I am on LJ's side on current form. Aswell who had a better form season Tipett or Reid?? My honest opinion they are even, tippett was outstanding for a handfull of games but the rest was average. Reid is still maturing but also had a handful of top games. Am i right?? I think you would still pick tippett over reid atm on current form & experience but meh, i am a crows fan so i am probably bein bias haha. But i like the swans & think Reid has a brighter future, just like LJ over White

No doubt he could play back, but he's just a better forward.

In what way did it do him a world of good Super? Be interesting to hear actually - his awareness has improved out of sight this year. It also appears he's matured quite a lot during his first year in the twos.

Not sure if u had a chance to watch him in the game against Eagles in the finals, he pretty much won that game of his own back.

Are you still banging on like a dingbat in here? Get a life and stop being so bloody rude on our gracious board. You've never answered any questions as to why Crows fans think Tippett is both useless and a god, have you? Stop behaving like a jilted 14 year old.

Swans kicked 14 goals in the grand final. 2 goals each to Jack, Kennedy, Malceski, McVeigh and 1 each to Hannebery and LRT. Tell me again how strong your forward line is?

How many goals did you get in the qualifying final

5 i think wasnt it?

The swans always felt that Johnston never won enough of his own ball. He always seemed to be receiving handballs.

When you play down back you have to win the footy. Also you find yourself isolated one on one and if you don't win the contest you get scored on.

As a forward of you don't win the contest there is always the next one.

Play him down back for 18 months and he will be a much tougher forward.

When he gets the footy he is good enough.

No this year White and Johnstons AFL stats aren't comparable coz they both hardly played. In the reserves where the SANFL is a stronger league Johnston has been better. Just as Tippett has been better then Reid.
So having half a game and worse stats at the top level is Johnston outperforming White?
they both barely played AFL this year mate. But fine if 3 games over 1 makes you think White is better then good on ya! :thumbsu:

your the one being childish mate. Taking any form of debate to Sydneys point of few as rude and childish...
And yes because what a bunch of angry BF posters is what makes Tippett what he's worth...

White was emergency most weeks in the premiership side, didnt get to play much. Johnstone played sanfl

Johnstone may well go on to have a great career but right now how can white be behind.

White smashed it in the reserves as a forward to get in the seniors in the first place, he can mark and is a long kick, shown as much as johnstone, both stuff all so far

Basically whoever suits crows fans in any comparison is better. Next you will tell me Josh jenkins is better than mike pyke
