So performing for half a season, and not the important half, on his massive deal is good enough? Take the first half of the season out and he has arguably been the flop of the decade.

He broke his jaw 3 weeks ago a couple of weeks after returning from a torn hamstring. His GF was poor but he does have mitigating circumstances.

Fremantle according to some guy on the radio today. Also a couple of callers have rung into say Tippett was involved in an altercation with team mates after the game on Saturday.

Send him to Richmond, they'll need to cover the loss of Vickery.

Before Tippet got injured mid season against the GWS at Spotless he seemed to be playing reasonable footy.
He came back from injury poor. The Swans should put him up for a trade only if it allows them to keep Tom Mitchell and there would be clubs that would go after Tippet (Provided swans pay some of his contract).

Interesting, as an article on (admittedly dubious website) The Roar mentioned that Swans cancelled post-match appearances by players due to altercations with Tippett at the centre of them.

He was injured! I might as well say West Coast should trade NN because he was useless in finals this year.

The Swans announced before the GF that they would only hold events if they won.

There may have been an altercation, but it wasn't the reason the events were cancelled. That was pre-planned.

Why was he playing then? No excuses in the finals. Nankervis would have offered more in the ruck, and an inanimate carbon rod or even Ted Richards would have done more around the ground.

I agree it was a dumb call to play him. Ditto Mills and McVeigh. But the fact that he doesn't play well while injured is hardly a reason to trade him.

Hah, yeah another "victim of Buddy's contract" which doesn't increase in amount until 2019.. Honestly if you add up every player we've traded to accommodate "Buddys contract" it works out that Buddy must be on about $5mil a year. Or it's just poor analysis..
if there is a pinch now, and his contract is going to get larger........
can we have Heeney to take the pressure off....

serious note though, losing Tippett is silly.
was in great form before the injury this season. Broken jaw isn't ideal to play with, esp for a ruck/foward. lots of jumping, craning the neck, etc.
When they are at peak, Tippett and Buddy make Sydney virtually unstoppable. Not sure i see them trading him
