Still trying hard for Harley Taylor Lloyd from what I'm hearing.... Offered him close to double what Nagambie have offered him! But yes he is named as Nag's 3rd coach again this year so it will be interesting to see if they can convince him to switch.....
Be a big move if he is the 3rds Coach at Nagambie at this point.

If this is correct Normo I can't see the best players we have fighting over spots to represent the KDNFL, no disrespect but I think we really need someone that will have everyone wanting to play for them, who that is I don't know.

They would have liked his knowledge of both the Ky League and Golden Rivers. Think he will do a resonable job the league looks stronger so chances of finding more players capable of playing well at Interleague level are greater. What they should probably do is head hunt a Captain and Vice Captain and publicise it when they bring the squads out to show they already have a couple of the big guns committed to it.

No offense taken BS, but I'm more than happy for u or ur club to throw ur hand up & help out in anyway possible.....

Everyone wants the league to do well & that's why I'm trying to help out, I'm going out of my way using my own quality time that I could be spending with my kids to try help the league progess & get up the rankings to where it should be!

Yeah everyone's solution is get a big name, do this do that, how bout if the players want to represent the league then represent the league not a high profile person who has nothing whatsoever to do with the league.....

Yeah I see merit in it, a high profile name gets players excited & makes them want to play for the person, but at the end of the day the result is the same! If players show up to play & we win then that's the only result we're after! I know I wouldn't walk away going yeah I played under such & such as coach, I'd be saying yeah I played interleague & we won now we go up!! Isn't that what it's about? Representing the league not a person!

I do agree on Doc's comments about approaching some high profile players to be captain & assistant's as that is advertising from within our league to get other players interested.....

To be honest I don't really care whether people think I'm a good bloke or a shit ****! At the end of the day my interests are the same as everyone else's & that's to see the league succeed! If someone else has better ideas or think they can do a better job then by all means put ur hand up to help instead of just telling everyone how the league could do such a better job if they did this & that!

As they say many hands make light work...... :thumbsu:

maybe they will put something in place so the players have to play baring current injury going into the game

I think every single player in the comp should be asked first at the start of the year.
do they or don't they want to play interleague

from there select a squad To train
And gel together.

We won't see as many people have piss poor excuses because they have already said yes or no at the start of the year and the coaches know exactly who is committed.

If you force players who don't want to be there to play they won't give 100%

Let's just hope it's professionally run this year unlike last years effort!!

Normo I'll guarantee to you & all the other Bigfooty readers out there that this year the league is 110% committed, the coaches & all the support staff are on the same page the only piece left to the puzzle is to get all the players on board!

But as I stated when the league announces their plans in the coming days I'm confident the players will jump on board.....

Exciting times ahead..... ;):thumbsu:

How will squad be formed smooth? On form or by name

Look mate obviously that final decision comes down the the coach but I'd be guessing the squad will most likely be named very early on so probably abit of both, majority names from past experience then form players added once the season is underway mate! League & coaches really keen to get players onboard early & let it build from there..... :thumbsu:

Good skills Smooth. Great inititiative and good luck mate as the KDFL should be much higher in the rankings than they currently sit.

Any more recruiting news? Out of the finals sides last year Stan Tally and VT have done well and I guess the major interest too see what Avenel and Nagambie have recruited. Pooka Riordan and Big Rhys Colbeck could be 40 to 50 goal type forwards so Tally might not have a direct replacement for BJ but could be able to spread the load for the forward line to work as well.

Be very surprised if Rhys played half of the season's games.
Hell of a nice bloke, however injuries were taking their toll years ago .
Given he was then on the wrong side of 30 , it is hard to imagine his ability to play a full season has remarkably improved.
