I remember when I was there someone at the club had a connection to the Harvey’s I just can’t remember who and what that connection was.

After his 5 goals and his last to put them in front for the 1st time for the day. There was talks after the game in the rooms about putting his statue in Longwood after not beating Stanhope in 16 years !!!!

Lanky and Nagambie will be a cracker... I cant separate them..I'd tip the draw but as to not appear a fence sitter, I'll go with Lanky just by 3 points or less.

Technically mate it won't matter, if I was Longwood I'd argue the loophole to get him as a 2 pointer!

Also not sure why their Coach Jordan is still a 4 pointer! 2yrs ago he was a 5, went down to a 4 last year & is still a 4 this year! He should've dropped to a 3 this year.

The points system is a mess & even though it's there for everyone to read & study it's still all up to the league's representative to adjudicate point's & if they don't understand it properly as to how it's written or worded then mistakes will be made! There's currently a player in the league that is a 1 pointer that technically should be a 5 point for the club he is at!

When I was coaching I studied the point's inside out to makes sure I could maximise our position if needed! But I can assure you every club in the league could save point on players if they knew the rules also players would probably be worth more? So in some instances it all works itself out!

I went up to there presidents lunch they had Andrew Dillon there, was a fantastic turn out.
It appeared shep looked very confident before the game, I left early but Longwoods pressure on the footy and shep all day was soo good, no backwards steps taken.

I would think Longwood has never been above them? I may be wrong.

How great is it for those 2 towns/clubs and the competition. Yes there are some big discrepancies between top and bottom half of the ladder but surely the way these clubs have clawed their way back to become more than just competative should give other struggling clubs optimism moving forward. It really is a good country footy story for both Longwood and especially Rushy who were all but gone a couple of years ago.

Can Longwood push the top teams now? Have they ever played finals in the KDL?

Never played finals since crossing over from the Benalla & District comp. Would be so good if they did

pull the boots on for them again... was this another once off or will he be sticking around? He kind of flew under the radar a bit by the looks of it but it's great to see players of his calibre running around in the KDL, would be a great buzz for the blokes running out with him too.

Thats fine but every league is consistently getting it wrong.
Automate it and be very, strict and transparent on point reductions.
