He is a spud.

Not a complete spud. The week after his 8 against Gold Coast, he took all of 5 minutes to finish West Coast off!

Often showed glimpses of pure class, with more than a dash of toolish cockiness.

Unfortunately for the Reimington, his best year was probably his second at the club (2008), while his worst was 2012 where he did little more the spectate. Should have become a player and I hope he gets another chance somewhere else.

He kicked 8 goals against WCE in a match as well.
Still wouldn't want him at WCE though, everyone knew he was talented but a absolute dickhead before
he was drafted and hasn't changed much since then.
He is from Peel and unfortunately too many of Peel juniors have question marks on there character.

Zero chance he kicked 8 against a decent side - he only kicked 8 goals once - when a team kicks 15 in a quarter and all he did was run forward to get on the end of the hard work up the ground. He is a sheep dog and no club will touch him.

It's funny Essendon got him to work hard this year and it turned out all that supposed untapped potential didn't involve the ability to read the play and find the ball. That being said if he hadn't have got injured he may have managed to earn himself another year on the list/

Funny no one else is done that to Gold Coast when they've won by similar margin and similar dominance?

Do you mean how Buddy ended up kicking 13 against you blokes? Over the back running into open goal?

Reimers just need to find that coach who will believe in him. Melksham is got potential, but sometimes does zero in games. There was a game he only touched it 4 or so times playing in the midfield for the whole games. But he played every single time. If Reimers is given that opportunity he would have well and truly cemented his spot.

Also, Reimers has been played forward. So his opportunity get the ball are not as much. He kicked 8, then kicked 3 or do against WC to win us the game, then he had an average game. Dropped the following game. If Cyril or Steve.J were treated like that early in their Career, they would be delisted too.

Cyril in particular has some pretty horrible games, but he doesn't get dropped does he. If Cyril played 50% to his ability Hawks would have won the GF. If that was Reimers who played that game and if that was Essendon who lost that GF, he would have been made scape goat. But no one talks about Cyril. That's the difference.

Cyril has some extrodinary footy senses that you wouldn't see in many. But the coaches channel that in the right way and allow him that freedom. Reimdog has a great sense for a goal. He is an exceptional kick of the footy, better than Cyril. But no one has bothered to understand the man and put some faith in him.

He wouldn't have been a super star but a good player who would have kicked a lot of goals. Milne is another example. If Lyon didn't go to St Kilda he would have been delisted by Thomas. He had a great year but Watters and co rated him 14th this year. Clearly shows he doesn't rate him, but luckily for Milne he has been able to have a great patch under Lyon and has made a name for himself.

If he wouldn't have been a super star why are you comparing him to Stevie J and Cyril?
Reimers does not offer what Stevie J and Cyril do. And he gets dropped because all he's willing to do is attack and kick goals. His attitude is terrible. Yes, Reimers had quality, but attitude is just as important in AFL now.

Imagine if Brisbane chopped Aker because of his attitude? Brownlow in a premiership year, wins another GF off his boot...everyone is different. How do you know it's terrible? If channeled in the right way he would have turned out a good player.

The problem is Reimers doesn't have the natural ability to be a problem player, Aker was a phenomenally gifted footballer in his right, so the Lions tolerated all the issues associated with his attitude because he delivered the goods out on the footy field. If Reimers upped his work rate and sorted himself out he'd be a decent player, but otherwise he's just not good enough to justify the issues he has.

This. ^

I wouldn't be unhappy to see him on our rookie list.
Has enough potential to have a punt on Ross the Boss sorting him out.
Sometimes a serious kick up the pants (such as watching your AFL career evaporate) will do it.
Look what happened with Walters this year.

Question on character - now whose club would overlook that... ;)

He started his career pretty well but in the end became a side act. Had feet issues as well, I think. A club could do worse.

Some players haven't got all the skill in the world but put in the hard yards and have a huge work ethic. They succeed.

Wouldn't take him in my clubs forward line. And given that I go for the bulldogs.. That says something.

They're the highlights of a bloke who has been around for 5 years? I'm sorry but he's a spud.
I never knew taking a chest mark and making a nice pass constituites owning a side either..

Admittedly the piece of play before the chest mark and goal was pretty damn good. Great pick up (courtesy of a classic Brent Stanton hit up pass) and launched a huge kick to a free player in the middle. He isn't without talent, there's no doubting that. He's also not without a large protruding penis from his forehead unfortunately.

I agree the pick up and pass were nice but they weren't things that you wouldn't expect from most outside mids/flankers. Yet for him they warrant a highlights clip..
He has some ability but so does anyone on an AFL list, he wasn't able to make the most of his ability and like many others before him is probably done.
