Reimers kicked 27 last year.

You guys had worse than Reimers on your list for the last 6 years in Matt Campbell, 79 goals from 82 games as a forward isn't at all good. 2012 was a disaster for Reimers, yet he still averaged more possessions, goals, behinds, marks, inside 50s and even tackles than Campbell. Both would've started as sub at times, but seriously, if you wanted to find worse than Reimers, you didn't have to look too far.

Sorry typo - 17 instead of 27. Still would take the player that kicked 41.

Worse is a stretch - both terrible. Take that 1 game out V Suns and he is 61 from 60 and that is a nil all draw.

1 played 5 games in the 11th best team - the other played 15 in the 8th best team. You maybe surprised if you put them in a poll. Only 5 games with all your injuries?? It says exactly how good he is.

More staggering that Campbell managed 15 games.

As for Morton versus Reimers, statistically very similar seasons...

Morton saved an awful season with a beautiful GF cameo, but other than that, his last 2 years have been worse than Reimers.

Oh well they are both gone and very soon to be forgotten. Make a case for both being the worst players in the comp. I will still vote Riemers - the pathetic tatts tip it in his scale.

By "torched" do you mean 9 touches and 4 goals sheep dogging out the back that ended up seeing him receive 0 coaches or brownlow votes?? Great for the Horse to be able rest alot eaiser in the off season knowing does not have to cop another torching by Riemers.
I mean he was the difference.
Very even all over the park, Swans probably edged it in the midfield, but kept muffing their shots (Goodes missed after the siren, I think Jetta kicked 2 or 3 points) - Reimers finished - kicked 4.0 or 4.1.

The midfield work up the ground to get it over the top was the difference. Surely you are not disappointed he is gone? He had chances and was not good enough.

No, not really, it was pretty much break-even (Sydney arguably edged it) in the middle & attacking forays etc, one side just finished better than the other.
Similar to (obviously different result) the North-Essendon game in rd 1, we controlled the play for more than you guys but it was Edwards who put us to the sword and gave you a genuine chance from limited opportunities.

Disappointed on one level, but he had to go. And this has been 3-4 years coming.
Just want to give credit where due. His form up until 2010 was forgettable, and didn't do anything this year, but his finish to 2011 was very good.

You do find it hard to let go - I remember you fell into a deep depression when Mark Shotgun Williams retired. You need to view the players as wilderbeast - the strong survive and weak are eaten by the Lions. It has to happen to impove the heard and keep them strong.

They're the highlights of a bloke who has been around for 5 years? I'm sorry but he's a spud.
I never knew taking a chest mark and making a nice pass constituites owning a side either..

Soon to be a Carlton spud.

Worthwhile gamble for the Blues if they can get him for a late pick. The type of player normally chosen at that range is a bust - so why not take the chance.

One of the few Bombers I can handle seeing in those awful colours.

He does have some talent but is too inconsistent for mine. His attitude is the biggest thing holding him back.

Look there's no doubt he fell out of favour with coaches, but it'd be silly not to speculate that may have occurred due to attitude problems rather than lack of skill. The bloke has a skill set to make it at AFL level.

I am not sure. I know he played a chunk at the start of the year, but we were flying at that point.
I think his first injury came mid July with a lot of the others, so he was unavailable.

He only got injured at the end of the season. He is a poor mans Adrian McAdam. He has fired his best shot and is a hack that will only be an OK VFL player - at best.

The Blues could have a real bargain pick up here...LOL!

Read it and weep Blue Boys, maybe he can wear fluoro blue m&m boots...would love to see this happen
Hmmmm. Reimers or Miller, Jake King, A.Edwards, Knights and A.Maric. Think the Tigers have recruited and selected poorer players than Reimers in recent years.

This sounds like another Raph Clarke rumour where journos get some filler from clubs looking at players. Every club would be considering players like Reimers as part of their list management. If Young, Rodan, Heath, Edwards, Stevenson and Morton were worth later picks, then you could do a lot worse by considering an experienced player for pick 71 or pick 76. We do need more extroverts who can play and have a crack. Reimers would put more pressure on the 22 than a similar type in Rohan Kerr who we just delisted. Both probably lack the right attitude to succeed.

Mick likes second chances after he recruited Krakouer.
