Google dude, it's all there. If you haven't seen it maybe you haven't been following the case closely enough and could have missed other things as well.

Lol Google... may as well go to The Project, Q&A or Herald Sun for your information/news.

The sad thing is that if he is found guilty we will probably see riots again....if he is found not guilty we will definitely see riots again. Society is too polarised.

Having watched most of the case, objectively....I lean toward not guilty, although its a tad murky. The prosecution has been deplorable and multiple prosecution witnesses have clearly obfuscated the course of justice and lied about what happened. Especially Grosskreutz. Has 10 mil riding on this and hiding content off his phone.

George Pell was found to be not guilty in a 7-0 High Court decision.

I was not defending a pedophile. I was defending an innocent man falsely accused of a crime he could not have committed. And didn’t.

You had a visceral passion to defend the man and the culture he shaped. Just like you came running in to defend Porter.

So, before you accuse others of ignoring pedophilia and sexual assault for political purposes, have some self awareness of where you’re at as a person.

All three men shot were also white. This is a moronic arguement lacking in any substances or facts
And as you can see, I said “or race traitor white people protesting in support of black people”.

You don’t understand the argument, vesty.

Algorithms bro..you see what they want you to see.
I'm very aware of the algorithms.

But that is different to what the project, Q&A and The Herald Sun do.

You do understand if you type "Kyle Rittenhouse" into either Google or DuckDuckGo, and you click on the Fox News link that comes up, you get the same article?

How do they order what comes up first second etc or on page 20? What are the failsafes from this being exploited?

If you want to bring the race argument into it, you simply have to imagine a black man having done exactly what Rittenhouse did.

Both in terms of treatment by the police (would he even be alive?) and the US justice system (if the police didn't kill him, would he get off as Rittenhouse is likely to?).

Sure as hell if a black man had killed whites in an identical situation, the judge would have no issue with the dead/injured being labelled as "victims".

That's completely different to the following:

Google aren't the news. They only control the order news article are displayed to an individual within their search engine, based upon algorithms which are geared towards that users habits and overall popularity of the source.

Again, google aren't the broadcaster. They don't control the end message. If a conservative wants an opposing viewpoint they can easily type in "Kyle Rittenhouse Washington Post" and if a progressive wants an opposing viewpoint they can easily type in "Kyle Rittenhouse Fox News".

It boils down to a question of where the parties sit on the hierarchy of the US, or even just that part of the US.

The law protects a certain group, while it controls another group.

It’s often the same the world over. Who does the legal system serve? Who does it align with?

The irony of the president of the George Pell Appreciation Society coming in here labelling others as pedo mourners wasn't lost on me either.

But it was the poster's first post in the thread and, as such, it was pretty clear what he was trying to do, given his history of stinking up pretty much every thread he gets involved in.

That's why I didn't respond. I'd suggest you do the same. Don't give him the air he is looking for.

Maybe if he didn't flash white power signs and hang out with wannabe fascist windows lickers like the Proud Boys people wouldn't think he's a racist?
I'm sure he has got the token black friend though.

Do you suggest he should get a lower standard of protection from the law to make up for this lack of equality?

I suggest he’s already getting protection and service that others wouldn’t.

If the “white paedo” had taken a gun into an alt-right rally and killed people do you think they would be getting the establishment support Rittenhouse has? Of course not. They are the controlled, not the served and protected.

Bullshit. I defended no such culture you liar.

I defended Pell because I knew him to be innocent. That is all.

Yes he is getting protection and service. But would you prefer he didn't and had to cop a (possibly) unjust ruling based on the facts and the law?
If you got yourself into hot water and were facing serious charges, would you go down the path of a public defender if you could afford a good lawyer, refuse support from any powerful friends you may have or those that emerge in support of you?

Back on race again. Didn't take long.

Good to see Chief, Gough, yourself et al have got the thread back to where all all feel most comfortable...shouting racist at everything.

But would you prefer he didn't
In part.

The ridiculous excuses. The establishment support. The hashtags. And on and on.

It’s over the top. It’s not people suggesting we dispassionately withhold judgment, it’s the active defense from day one.

What happens when it’s a black man in the news? Ooooo scary! He did something wrong! He can’t have expected anything but a choke hold! “Why do you support a violent criminal?!” “Happy to see a paedo dead!”

I don't get why people are so invested in a guilty verdict, who and what are people upset by? At this point it looks like a defence of criminal rioters. Even if Rittenhouse is a vigilante (evidence doesn't support this) at the end of the day the people he shot are no loss.

Ok that's all fine but completely unavoidable in the current climate. I'm still unsure if you want to see him guilty to make up for an unequal system or guilty based on the facts and the law?

Don’t have to imagine.

Find me a single example of a white school shooter who was immediately released on bail
