It is, but not as blindingly selectivectiy as the link you posted.

Love the replies to the tweet saying "if only there was a medic with an AR-15"

You support aggression towards women?
The article you posted is of a completely different incident I believe.

The tweet just proves my original assertion is correct.

Not sure what your point is here.

This was the only incident covered on most trustworthy news sites

You do realise the person that initiates the squabble in the tweet was a Trump supporter and Rittenhouse defender, right? This is explained in literally the first few paragraphs of the article.

The sad thing is, it probably isn’t. Bulletproof backpacks are normal over there. But I digress
Post was half tongue-in-cheek, sadly half sincere.

177 deaths in shootings involving an AR-15 this past decade is probably tragically a drop in the ocean in the States. I will note this doesn't mean the AR-15 or variants were used in all of those deaths, they were just at least one of the guns found on the perpetrators.

So you support violence towards women. Ok....wow. The lefties have gone to a new low.

Uh, yeah no. Get your head out of your arse and debate in good faith if you're not just here to to troll. Spinning something as disgraceful as violence against women to score points in the perpetual left-right debate is utterly shameful. I said absolutely nothing about broader political allegiances, but this post indicates that your only capable of adopting a viewpoint that is that horrendously shallow.

Correct. There are hundreds each year featuring handguns. It's a tiny fraction with rifles, for a reason.
Okay.

AR-15s are a semi-automatic commonly used at mass shootings with higher body counts. Is that a better description we can all agree on?

This year, because it's just the first one I went to, when I list all the mass shootings there by deaths - so far I've counted down the top six and only one of them had "AR-15 style" used. The rest were handguns. Including all of the top three. It's not common at all.

I think what you'll find agreement on is "AR-15s look scary and I'm scared of them"

Handguns are the issue there.

4 of the 5 deadliest US mass shootings since 1949 occurred in the last decade involving AR-15s or variants.

They look scary because 162 people have been slain by perps carrying them in 4 individual mass shootings in the last decade.

How did you arrive at that conclusion?

OP was more concerned about who started the interaction between the male BLM protester and the Rittenhouse supporter than the actual issue is that the Male BLM protester was violent toward the female Rittenhouse supporter. It doesn't matter who started what, we dont have enough info to determine that. Violence towards women is not ok. And diverting the conversation to semantics because it fits someone's political agenda, rather than dealing with and acknowledging the real issue, is exactly why we have an issue with FV in our country. Doing so....to deliberately mislead...is a condonement of the perps behaviour and makes you as bad as the perp.

Its an objective standard, and 'great bodily harm' is a higher threshold than 'getting the sh*t kicked out of you'.

Ive had schoolyard fights where I have kicked the sh*t out of someone (and had the sh*t kicked out of me). Those fights did not require lethal force in response.

it was that he had three prior felony convictions in a state that punishes you on the 4th strike with 25 to life
In itself a ludicrous law brought in to punish and control poor people. It's a disgusting, barbaric method of sentencing.

Use of that law saw an increase in police injuries and other dangerous behaviour in evading arrest.

Don't even TRY to defend that shit.

I can only assume you're trolling comparing a riot to a schoolyard scuffle.

Just wow.

School children have basic respect and dignity. I'd never trust a BLM, Antifa dredge to look after an animal let alone not to turn into one in a mob setting.

Not to mention the NT version, which I did an essay on the last time I went to Uni.

It just so happened that all the crimes that were included in three strikes were crimes Aboriginals were more likely to commit.

****ing strange coincidence, isn't it?

******* strange coincidence, isn't it?

Why is this relevant?

Why are you so focused on race when everyone involved in this incident is white?

You'll notice that I fingered the cause of the problem in the post if you were able to contain your white rage long enough to read it.
