Should they live in hiding for the rest of their lives?

Hiding from what?
It's not a question of 'should they be in hiding' but it's the reality that they will be in hiding because that's what cowards do and millions of Americans can see there has been no justice .

I'm always curious about the coward tag. What makes him and his family cowards?

Good.

They can claim it but they would still get the chair for the people they murdered earlier, so it's worth taking the shot if you believe there are still people at risk.
Say the prosecution stuffed up the charges for the earlier killings and they got off on a technicality. Would the later shooting be self defence?

No, and the prosecution tried this path of saying he "instigated the argument" which started all this.

But that was proven to be incorrect, so because he hasn't started the issue, self defence wins.

In your example no, because the active shooter has instigated the situation. Way different end of the spectrum. It would not be self defence.

Also that sure is an interesting way to apprehend a shooter by attacking him with a skateboard...

But the second victim had no idea who instigated it. He saw a guy with a rifle running and people saying "he shot someone". Are the "good guys with guns" now supposed to stand down until they workout who instigated first contact?

Using a high powered assault rifle as a vigilante against a skateboard.
Murdering innocent people
I'm happy to hear and accept legitimate reasons as to why he could be called a coward. Neither of these are. Further, both of your statements are not factual.

Vigilante behaviour, disproportionate force. He should have left the area when he got a slight bruise from a skateboard instead of going on a murder spree.
Anyone who is not a gun nut or republican can see that.

I can't endorse a reality.
Of course you can.

You said it was a good thing that they'd be in hiding for the rest of their lives.

That's an endorsement.

All the news reports are that they are hiring security and going into hiding. I can't magic that away for you.
And you welcome that. You think it's good that they fear for their safety.

Let me ask you a question. Has kyle done anything wrong?
Wrong or illegal?

I think he is an absolute peanut and should not have been there, certainly not with an AR-15.

I don't know if the school shooting scenario really holds up but if or more likely when there is another outbreak of protests then this ruling means that is the tacticool types turn up the antifa types should shoot to kill or risk being killed with no reprecussions. No point going for disarming them.

The US is a weird place politically where someone like Kyle now becomes a hero to people.

The ruling looks correct based on the laws but I think it says more about how shoddy America's laws and legal system are. In particular the writing of gun legislation that it's illegal to buy the AR 15 but that he can then legally open carry it makes no sense.
Yeah, school shooting is not a perfect fit but this case now seems to say if 2 citizens carrying guns run into each other on the street while bystanders scream "shooter" it's better to shoot first. If you point your gun at them, they can shoot you back and say self defence.

Seems like the wild west

Two life sentences for murder for Kyle the coward. Possibly domestic terrorism charges if it can be proved he murdered people because of their political affiliation.
His parents? Not much you can do unless they admit to coercing a minor to commit murder or admit to encouring him to commit a violent act.
I would be checking their computers for possible crimes related to race hate, neo-nazism or affiliation to other race hate groups.
It's pretty obvious that kyle and his parents are proud racists and that he went there with the intention to kill.
If it was one murder , you could maybe make an argument he was out of his depth and was coerced by his parents, but 2 murders and nearly a third murder mean this guy set out to kill.

I saw this post quoted before and assumed it was from a number of days ago. Thought it may have been quoted to show how wrong you were.

To discover you typed this abomination of a post this afternoon is truly quite sad.

I feel I need to ask if you are aware there was a trial this week, which concluded with a not guilty verdict?

If you are aware of that, did you take any time to familiarise yourself with the video and witness accounts and the applicable laws in Wisconsin? This information will help you understand why your hot take is ridiculous.

It pretty much is.

It wasn't an active shooter situation as it turned out. They may have thought it was. Rittenhouse was trying to run to the police line, they misread the situation and attacked him. He still gets to defend himself. He does not have to submit to the mob.
So he can shoot whoever is in his way to get to the police?

People were screaming he shot someone. I thought the NRA wants everyone to be armed to stop shooters.

They were more than in his way. He also doesn't forfeit the right to live himself by having already shot someone, especially in a legal manner (as it turned out).

In one breath laments "vigilante" behaviour while in another claiming that rioting and looting was "protesting" police brutality.

I'm honestly not sure if you're aware how biased you are.

He wanted to leave the area. That's what he was trying to do.

So if you come across someone with a gun running away from a school and people screaming "he shot someone" and you point your pistol at them to apprehend them, they can shoot you and claim self defence?
