OK, again let's just say that all of that is true.Well if you want to get an independent investigation into the fires free from the political bias these days in America good luck.
That might have happened back in the good old 90s days when Bill Clinton was running the show and playing the saxaphone.
We are lucky here in Australia we aren't so politically divided that our parties can't agree on important things.
When John Howard called for the gun buy back scheme after the Port Arthur shootings, Labor didn't oppose it.
So no investigation, no report, no findings, no justice.
No mitigation, no improvements, no safety.
This will just happen again?
If this is the approach you're taking, then what's your solution?
Everyone just goes with their gut and acts on it?
Should they vote on who is to blame, and what the outcomes should be?
Listen to other peoples opinions, and hold them above possible evidence?
Shouldn't we want and strive for an investigation, if for nothing else to ensure that Newsom and Bass are held to account?
And in doing so:
- Ensure our positions are evidence based.
- Reduce the spread of any misinformation, as if proven false it may lead people to believe the real allegations are also false.
