Just wanted to gauge fellow swan thoughts on going after out of contract Lachie Hansen in place of Tippett. I reckon we could sweeten north by paying overs with our 2nd round pick plus it would mean we'd have more room in our cap to fatten our "a listers" salaries as they come out of contract?

thoughts?

I'd take a punt on him. I reckon Kangaroos aren't really getting the best out of him, i think he is a bit stifled there. I reckon we could get him for our 4th rounder.

I think he'd benefit from the efficient delivery of a good midfield and the swans are known for their excellent player development. Would be win win situation for Lachie and the swans.

You would think he'd be on our radar given we could get him for a steal.

Would not touch as a forward, maybe as a defender, but realistically think he is surplus to requirements, and would prefer we look at tom murphy of hawthorn if after a defender.

Yup, Hansen attracts the best defender week in, week out as he is the only decent forward Norf have. But i think playing behind Goodes and Reid, he might end up flourishing. I'd go as far as saying he could be another Ted Richards in the making and eventually end up pushing AA selection with us. :)

You don't consider Petrie a forward?

Theres only one kpp player from hansens draft worth going for
Leuenberger, Reid, Riewoldt, Frawley, Hawkins, MacKenzie or Tippett?

Of course in amongst all of this quality we drafted Daniel O'Keefe, Danie Currie, Daniel Faulks, Jesse White and traded for Peter Everitt. Our recruitment staff made Richmond look competent.
