Poor kid, and what awful luck for the club. The team is doing sensationally, however, with all the bad luck - quality depth and structures. Fingers crossed for the best news for him.

Just in case Keeffe reads these threads, I'd like to congratulate him for keeping our backline competitive enough to allow us to win 6 games in a row. Keeffe has been a revelation and will figure big in our plans next year. What absolutely rotten luck that this injury should strike him when he is being such a hero.

Absolutely shocking news.

However, there is a silver lining...

Next 3 weeks we have Suns, Demons and bye. After that 3 week run, we should have Brown, Tarrant and Reid all up and about.

So while it's a complete disaster for him to go down, it's one spot we can most certainly cover with some quality players. Keeffe must be the best 4th string key defender going around!
On your last point, would you say he's better than Jake Carlisle? I see your point however, He is a bloody good 4th string KPD
Bombers did 2 in a quarter last year and I think finished the season with 4.
2 in 15 minutes :(. Only 3 ACL's, Lonergan was an MCL

Hard to say if he is better then Carlisle, he has only played 10 games. Keefe has been our number 1 backman this season and has played on quite a few backman and keep them to only a few goals. He has out bodied quite a few number 1 KPF's and hasn't had his pants dropped all season.

No one deserves an injury like an ACL, but if it were possible Keeffy deserves it less than just about anybody.

Has been a rock and has stepped up this year when others have fallen down around him. Showed just how much he's improved last night when Tippett was beating him early but he persisted and got on top until he got injured.

Hope by some miracle it's not an ACL but you could tell it was almost straight away. When they just go down like he did without seemingly getting much, if any contact it's almost always an ACL.

Like someone else said, if he's gone for the year and we manage to win the flag he will have played a big part in that.

Funny thing is, they usually say being in extreme pain like that means it ISN'T an ACL.

Hope that's the case here.

Hopefully just an Indian Burn, but I'm not holding my breath.
Fingers crossed he gets a quick prognosis, great surgeon and is back ready to hi the ground in 2013.

The structural test for ACL is very accurate. If they think he's done it he very likely has. Shame for the guy and a blow for us but at least we options coming back for his position. Problem is all 3 optons are now injury prone. It is vital that at least have continuity for the rest of the year.

Definitely preferable to the long term debilitating Chinese Burn.
