Recommitted Lachie Neale [OOC 2023 - Will honour his contract]

If he leaves (as widely reported), what will Brisbane get in return?

  • Two good 1st round picks

  • Top 10 pick and change

  • A 1st & a 2nd

  • Later 1st rounder

  • Two 2nd rounders

  • Early 2nd rounder

  • Other 2nd round pick

  • Less than a 2nd rounder

Expires at the end of next season his contract mate. You have to remember he is 29 and coming off a season of injuries!!

What's 18+5?

Lions will be fine out of this

just like they were fine when beams left

they can then use the trade capital received along with cap space to better the list

If we can somehow get Luke Parker as a free agent, then take pick 6 for Neale to the draft along with our other two first rounders this year we are definitely looking better off.

That's a big if though.

Helps knowing we have an elite father-son in 2022 as well. Really good chance to get a really strong injection of young talent into our list, which isn't usually an option for teams who have finished in the top 4 three years in a row.

You're forgetting he's under contract. Brisbane have no obligation to accept what Fremantle offer.
And that is fine, usually they do work it out. Freo aren't going to overpay for him though so it might be a case of keeping him for the year and the same issues to come up again next offseason

Assuming Cerra is traded to Carlton in a deal involving 6.

Surely 6 for Neale & Brisbane's first rounder tied to Melbourne (provisionally 18) gets it done? Freo could even throw in a future third/fourth rounder to help with points for Ashcroft.

This way, Freo still have two first round picks and Neale without giving up the farm, while Brisbane get an elite kid or trade capital along with points for Ashcroft next year (who looms as a pick one candidate).

Why the * are we giving up Neale and 18 for a 12 point upgrade on our first rounder?

Why should Brisbane have to give up a first round pick? Neale is worth a top ten pick on his own.

This is the second site I have seen that days 2022?? Strange that a few sites say end of next year
Your problem is you're looking at Supercoach resource sites instead of actual news articles, or even better, club press releases.
