Ridiculous thread.

1. Make up a thread about a playing leaving
2. Start offering ridiculous unders
3. Rinse and repeat
What are you on about? I didn't make up anything it was said on the footy show last night..

this screams of private school mummys boy wanting to go home to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

If Ward and Whitfield leave, not to mention the uncertain future of Patton and mccarthy, GWS are back to square one.

Worrying time with their director having a blue with Matthews and leaving, and pulling out 1 million of funding
Back to square 1? Yeah cause Sheil, Jezza, Shaw, Cogs, David etc etc are all flogs who can barely play [emoji57]

Given the talent that has already walked from GWS I wouldnt put a line through it just yet
Hmmm considering we have a shrinking cap and list size.
Oh and the Majority of who we wanted to re-sign have.
Im yet to see anything that suggests a mass exodus that the media hack barrett and some on here keep going on about.

Just lost a couple of your most important players, no biggie.

Still struggling with seeing what i wrote. Majority re-signed.
And if you listen to freo fans Cam wasnt one of the important players.
Treloar will be missed and is a gun no doubt.
Its eased somewhat when we have Steele and Hopper coming in though.

Understood.

Both good players.

Need to make sure players stay though
Absolutely. Hense the re-signing.

Every man and his dog knew we would lose players. Especially with the picks we had, and an ever shrinking list and cap size.
Main thing is to hang on to as many as we can. Which is whats happening

No player wants to sign right now, the salary cap is about to go up
Yep - GWS are waiting to fill a position and the cap is going to increase, yet we're starting rumours because kids haven't signed as yet?

The only thing sillier is suggesting a pick #1 who has played over 50 games in his first three eyars, averaging 22 touches in his third year, is somehow worth only a second rounder.

O'Rourke + pick 43 went for picks 19 and 40 after 9 games in two years.

Whitfield has played 51 in three so far so he's a bit more established.

I'd say he'd fetch a similar price to Aish. A late first rounder or two decent second rounders perhaps. Bare in mind that these sort of picks are more valuable to academy clubs with the points system.

And i'm pretty sure GWS have a couple more good kids coming through their academy this year as well.
