He's fine. Not a superstar but a good contributor who averages 24 touches. He didn't choose to be the number 1 pick and shouldn't be judged solely on that. Hardly deserves to be torched.
We had Grundy fall in our lap via some bizarre decisions by other clubs and the Bombers had Daniher via FS. That aside it just wasn't a great draft year.

His career up until last year's scandal was flying along, and top picks can get shaded within the youthful talent in the Giants at large, far too early to call. I can understand his role in the team as a No.1 pick coming under debate, but he is a decent player.

Too early to declare Whitfield a failure. He actually looks a good prospect. Trending upwards. Clean and classy.

Whitfield does seem to lack heart when the going gets tough. Hawthorn would probably be into him except they don't have any useful draft picks this year to get a trade done!

Spot on.
Out of sight out of mind at GWS and it gets hard to remember who the number 1 picks are with so many top 10 talents up there. Scully rightfully draws praise for his elite running but gets very little criticism for rarely hitting a target and makes the AA squad. He'd be made a mockery if still at the Dees.

It's hard to stand out in a midfield composed of Josh Kelly, Callan Ward, Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio, Tom Scully and whoever else. He'd be one of the best players at most other clubs surely
