The Western Bulldogs are still monitoring Lachlan Hunter, son of defender Mark, as a father-son option.
Hunter is playing for Calder Cannons and will make the Vic Metro team.
But the Dogs are facing a dilemma as he is of similar size and style to other father-son picks Mitch Wallis and Tom Liberatore.
Will Beasley, son of Simon, has given up football for rowing this year, even though he was eligible to be drafted.
Mark Stevens, Jon Ralph
Think you will find he is playing for the Western Jets.

Western Jets got thrashed again yesterday, this time by the Dandenong Stingrays. However Hunter didn't play (maybe that's why they got thrashed?)
So was he injured ... or was it "soreness"?
Hunter is now playing school footy and will be taking an extended break from the TAC cup and the jets.
I dont know what is the rationale for this?, many have said school footy is better for attracting the attention of scouts but I still like to see the reasoning behind it as to why scouts apparently pay more attention to school footy.
If he's on a sport scholarship, then yes, the school will want to get a bang for his buck. He is Geelong Grammar yeah? Same place that's recently pumped out Easton Wood (and....O'Keefe...)Mostly because the school says 'you will play school footy!!!'
Nope, St. Kevin's College. Both Wallis and Liberatore went there. If he's on a sport scholarship, then yes, the school will want to get a bang for his buck. He is Geelong Grammar yeah? Same place that's recently pumped out Easton Wood (and....O'Keefe...)
St.Kevin's played its annual fixture against St.Patrick's, Ballarat in fine conditions on the Heyington No 1 ground. With a five goal to nothing first quarter SKC set up a good lead that it retained for the rest of the match. Despite a strong fightback in the second half, SKC was able to reply to their attack with critical goals to retain a nice buffer. Lachlan Hunter with six goals was the best player in a great team effort.
Unless of course he has a standout Teal Cup and stars in nearly all of his TAC /school matches, in which case we would be happy to take him at pick 25-30 (whatever it will be).

A great start to the season, with all boys contributing. Our defenders did well to restrict Geelong to 8 goals, with Meehan, Matheson and Ross prominent. Our on ballers fed the forwards, with Hunter kicking five goals and Dolan 4. Best Players: N Meehan, C Matheson, L Ritchie, L Hunter, R De Biase, B Kanakis Goals: L Hunter 5, M Dolan 4, B Kanakis, J Tighe, J Dimattina 2 each, L Ritchie, A Scott, T Quinlan, M Roberts, G Favalor
That's a pretty fair effort.???? So he played Geelong on the 28th
Played against St Patricks on the 21st April
He also played Calder Cannons in the TAC cup on 21st of April
He played 2 games in one day, getting 3 goals 27 disposals in one and kicking 6 goals in the other ???
