A Qualifying Final win at Football Park against the minor premiers Port without Bucks shows how we can't win without him.

We actually have a great record for games when Bucks is out.

I said consistently without him not just one off wins.
I dont think you have a great record without him but if you can get the statistics for it or Dan26 or Mark_T can get them then I will reconsider what I have wrote.

Essendon wont win another flag under Sheedy IMO.

thier times past, get over it you had your fun now **** off

But who won a flag in 1993 and 2000? Who..was it Collingwood?

No they were at their medicore best while real powerhouses were winning flags.

Ronaldo you really are dumb.

Not that I am having a go at you or anything Frosty but it really looks like you have given up arguing with him on another thread and started having a go at him on a new topic.

Ya gotta let it go

:)

I don't have the stats. From memory we lost a series of games in 1999 when he was out with a broken jaw. First game back he was a clear BOG and we beat Freo for our first win of the year. None of that proves anything other than we were crap in 1999 and Freo were even more crap away from home. Since 1999 we would have won most games he did not play in. I can't recall more than one we lost in fact but I may be wrong. He missed 2 consecutive games in 2001 and we beat Melbourne and West Coast convincingly. Can't reacall off hand what hapened during his suspension in 2002 - I think we beat richmond without Buckley. We won the final in SA without him but lost the last H&A against the Dogs.

Whatever the actual game count, it is very wrong to say Collingwood can't win without Buckley. It is misleading to have ever said it because pre 2000 we actually couldn't win much with him either. The truth is Buckley has not had a great influence in the last 2 years. that is partly due to his age and partly deliberate Malthouse planning. In any case I'd much rather have him in the side than not because he is an outstanding player. When he isn't there we are not so badly effected because we have some midfield depth. That will be even more so this year.

Not really - it was (and still is) what I think - but it is only a guess.

I do have a "secret predictions weapon" however. Last year I predicted the Crows to improve by two ladder places - from 8th to 6th - and in the end they managed third in the minor round, which was actually a shade better than even my optimistic hopes for them.

So, you see, this year I also harbour an optimistic hope for my side - which once again is a shade better than what I posted as my prediction.

:D

Your whole argument is flimsily built on negative ifs. In one foul swoop you just dismiss the presence of Carey and Burns who barring injury are likely to kick 80 to 100 goals between them for the year.

haha. Likely if both stay injury free the entire year, if both players end up in career best form (highly UNlikely), and both players are the only two targets up forward for the Crows the entire year.

Burns has never been as good as his somewhat high rating. Has only kicked over 40 goals once. I wouldnt expect him to do that this year.

Carey is getting old and already has had an injury or two this year. If you get 50 goals outta him youd be getting maximum outta him in my opinion.

Its more LIKELY that you will get between 50-70 goals between them for the year.

OK, we'll go with that if you insist Macca.

Last year Crows forward line struggled a bit - but Crows still got the fourth highest overall score. From that 2002 forward line the Crows have lost Bienke & Fitzgerald, and IMO it is unlikely they will play Schell this year.

OK, in 2002 Bienke = 10 goals, Fitzgerald = 8 and Schell = 9 for a total of 27.

In 2003 Macca thinks 50 to 70 goals between Burns & Carey is LIKELY.

An improvement of at least 23 goals then Macca, and maybe as many as 43? And that is not even counting the possibility that Crows can get more games out of Welsh this year than they did last year.

I'll take it!

Maybe two or even three more wins this year over last if that happens Macca, 17-18 wins & a top 2 placing is on the cards then, do you think?
