My predictor

1. Sydney
2. Freo
3. Hawthorn
4. Geelong

with the lose to WestCoast, the next few weeks will decide where will we finish? I have a faith to this club but what we've seen for the past few weeks that we are losing to the side outside top 8 is not a good sign, I just think that we aren't good enough to become premiers this year.

No way will Hawthorn drop to 3rd. They might - and I stress the word might - get done by Sydney (although I doubt it), but they won't lose to Collingwood and certainly won't lose to North.

Not just the Brisbane game. What about the Adelaide one (we were 30 points up in that), or the North one?

Every game matter, and every loss hurts. And every year that simple truth is forgotten until Round 23.

We were thoroughly outplayed by North so no complaints there.

The Adelaide loss hurt more than the Brisbane loss IMO. Against Brisbane we had Simpson running out of steam in his first game back.... v Adelaide we not only had two shots in the last 90 seconds to win it, but we had the luxury of playing them without their best player in Dangerfield. It was a huge lost opportunity.

Hawks have a very tough run into the finals with games against an inform pies, kangaroos and swans. Could win or lose all 3 comfortably.

North just lost to Adelaide. It put our horrible loss to them into perspective. Hawthorn will blow them off the park. And I don't see Collingwood getting close to them either.

All depends on Essendon potentially losing points.

If the finals were next week, all of Hawks/Cats/Bombers and one of Tigers/Pies would qualify for home finals.

It would be a disaster if we finished top 2 and had to play at Etihad. I don't think we've played anything near our best football there for a couple of years.

Essendon won't lose points. The coverup has been underway since the season started. They'll mysteriously make their decision the week after the Grand Final.

Wrote my post before North's loss to Adelaide. Unfortunately that may kill their enthusiasm for the remainder of the year.

I reckon the pies though are in with a real shot against the hawks. They are clearly in much better form at the moment. Hawthorn really are just going at the moment and have been like that for a month. Will be a good game.

We wont lose to WCE that much I'm pretty sure of. Sydney is the only game that worries me.

How? How can you be that sure? We've lost the last 2 years to West Coast in Perth, we lost to Fremantle in Perth last year, we've already lost to Adelaide and Brisbane interstate, we've got an aging midfield that isn't quick, and a full forward who might as well be chained to the goalpost?

Love to have any sort of confidence against West Coast but our performances against two other middle of the road contenders in Adelaide and North screams almost certain loss to me. Plus I've got very little confidence in what the match committee are doing with selections as well.

If we are to win the flag we have to win every game for the rest of the year.

If we lose to Sydney or WCE then we simply aren't good enough.

My big worry is Freo, with Sandilands back and us not having a no1 ruck they could beat us like they did last year with ruck dominance and fast leadup players.

Anyone who thinks they beat us last year because of Sandilands wasn't watching the game. They beat us all over the field in every department. He was a very minor component.

of the three I think that the Brissy game was the worst. You can't expect to win every game, as much as we would all like to. But yes, every loss does hurt , especially in a year like this. So potentially does percentage, where we have made up some ground but should be better. And every other team will be looking at games lost that they could / should have won. I haven't checked the Sydney board, but they must be bleeding.

But Hawthorn will be getting stars back like Hodge, Buddy and Birchall (biggest in of em all IMO). Plus Pies have a poor recent record against the Hawks and haven't beaten them since 2011.

I think the Pies will knock the Hawks off this week.

They are looking in rarefied form. As long as they hold fast when the Hawks challenge. Fingers crossed they do some of our dirty work then fall away.

I have the Prelims as Hawks V Swans , Cats V Pies.... Oh the potential for pain , oh the potential for gain.

I have no idea if we will win this week.

Probably lose this week or Brisbane, Freo will win the rest and take top 2. We fly to Subi first week for a repeat of last year. We'll come back to play in Melbourne and win, then lose in the Prelim.

It's not going to take much for us to finish first... wouldn't take much for us to finish fourth, either.

Hawthorn will be challenged (and could very well be beaten) by Sydney, Collingwood and North.

If we keep our heads down (Like Freo, as mentioned above) and play our remaining games like finals, things might just go our way...

Fremantle will be top 4, no question about it. and its a real possibility we'll be going over there for the 1st final

TC isn't talking about first week of finals he's talking about which teams make the prelims. My Guess is he thinks Freo will go out in straight sets having to play colliwobbles in the 2nd week of finals.

Geelong, Hawthorn and Fremantle are safely in the top 4 IMO.

Most likely Sydney as well but they could still be knocked out if they lose both to Geelong and Hawthorn which I give a 50/50 chance of happening. Even if they do lose both games though Collingwood or Richmond would need to win all three of their games which certainly isn't a given.

I have it:
1. Hawthorn
2. Geelong
3. Fremantle
4. Sydney
5. Richmond
6. Collingwood
7. Essendon
8. Port Adelaide
9. Adelaide (If Essendon are banned)

I don't give us much hope in the finals if it's Vardy/West against a fit and firing Sandi. We saw what Sandi could do last year. Think Freo would be really hard for us to beat.

Richmond vs Port/Adelaide
Collingwood vs Essendon/Port

Hmm not the greatest games tbh, would much prefer Collingwood vs Richmond.

On footy classified they said that if the Swans drop their games against Cats and Hawks and Richmond win the rest it's a Hawks v Richmond final week 1. Delish!

If Richmond get through....
I've been waiting a long long time for a return crack, ever since 1969.
