Ladder Predictor

Have looked back on various threads and I have yet had an argument refuted by you. And I have not disappeared anywhere. Always about.

I am happy to help you out here coz Partridge says you are a reasonable guy.

Give me your top 3 questions that I apparently have not responded to and I'll give you the full courtesy of full replies. I have just looked back on some of our recent exchanges and my word count has been 5 times yours. I know, I know - quality versus quantity.

Anyway, please fire away. I'll get back to them after G Ablett finishes with the Cobblers.

Edit: Assuming they can pop his shoulder back in. Awful.
Lol way to jink Gazza there.

I'm not going to raise a whole bunch of old posts from the week on game day when there will be a whole new bunch of issues to disagree on after 5pm this arvo. :D

I often dream about having a bed full of Victoria's Secret models.
Having done the first of those VS Fasion shows in LA about 5 years ago.. I can tell you that is a GREAT DREAM but very impractical. One is CLEARLY enough let me tell you.

GO Catters

I find it hard to tip against the cats at the best of times, but I just cant see us dropping a game for the rest of the season, thats not to say they won't be hard games against freo and Hawks in particular, I just think we will get over the line against them.

Of course, things such as injury and player management aren't taken into account either, so it's never going to be too accurate.
I would like to see the ladder turn out this way though.

Cats
Swans
Freo
Port
Suns
Hawks
Roos
Pies

Just did a ladder predictor on the AFL website. Had us finishing 2nd behind Sydney and playing Freo in the first final for the 3rd year in a row, and Hawthorn dropping out of the top 4 (Port finishing 4th).

Hard to believe that Sydney and Freo will not finish top 2.

Where Cats end up really depends on how we go against Freo and Hawthorn.

Could finish top 4 but still think unless we start putting games together will finish top 5.

Port and Hawks would need to drop quite a few games for us to finish top 4 IMO.

Yep, freo and hawthorn games are the ones that will really decide whether we finish top 2-3, or 5-6th.

Makes you wonder if both Port and Hawthorn peaked too early.

Port maybe, I respect Hinkley a lot but they are a young side which means they ae vulnerable to running out of legs towards the back end of the year.

Hawthorn no, I wouldn't take much from Friday night given they lost one player in the warmup and another 5 min in. They have demolished some sides this year and when they get their injured guys back are a big threat.

Back on topic, we are a big chance for top 4. We have 5 games we should win if we are serious finals contenders-WB, Melb, GWS, Carlton and Brisbane. With North it is hard to know what you will play against as they are so inconsistent but I back us in that one.

It is not inconceivable we win 6 or 7 of the last 8 and 17 wins is pretty close to the top 4.

The top 4 teams also all play each other in the run home so they will take points off each other.

The biggest issue is our %, we will not make up the entire % gap on the other sides, and so if 2 or 3 sides finish on equal points (as is possible) we will finish 5th due to poor %. For that reason we have to win one if not both of the Freo and Hawthorn games so we can pass either on points. Those games will determine if we make top 4.

Finish 4th and lose to Freo 1st week of finals in Perth. Hawks beat swans 1st week.

Beat North Melbourne 2nd week of finals at Mcg.

Beat hawks in prelim.

Beat dockers by a point in the gf after ballantyne gives a free kick away at chb just before the siren. Crowley then gives away a 50 metre penalty for "headbutting" Stevie J, who then bombs a 55 m goal after the siren.

Then i woke up !!!

The good news is the squiggle now has us finishing in the 4 (losing only to North and Hawthorn before year end):

The bad news is, we travel in weeks 1 and 3 and face a dangerous week 2 opponent:

You have us 16-6 at years end catempire . Which 2 games do you have us dropping? I think we will have the Hawks measure and should be able to cover the Kangaroos. Freo being the BIG game and the most important. We can't afford to have Sydney-Freo finishing 1st and 2nd or we are all but done (with everyone else). Effectively I don't think we can afford to drop another game this year in order to win the flag. Tough ask.

Edit: Just read the post again.

I dont think that is the case. I doubt we could beat either of those two interstate but i would be confident that the hawks could beat both of them, which gives us a chance of a repeat (hopefully Varcoe kicks straight this year) of last years prelim.

Certainly a dream, Stevie J couldn't kick it 55m!
