If we lose one, we need either the Suns to drop one (most likely today) and some percentage or the Hawks to knock of Brisbane next week without leapfrogging our percentage.

Port game is Ken and Boak’s last game Reckon they might test the Suns.
Port are a chance in that fixture. Suns don't fare well at Adelaide Oval.

Almost impossible now.
We need Brisbane to beat Hawthorn.
And need Gold Coast to lose one of their games. Port and Essendon. And with a drop in percentage.
We need to beat Melbourne. With a boost to percentage.

If hawthron beat Brisbane by less than we beat Melbourne we jump Brisbane… and cannot be dislodged regardless of Gold Coast
Can finish 4th with gold cost winning both but it'll come down to less than one percentage point.

As it stands now, Gold Coast need 32 points unopposed to pass our %.
We need to beat Melbourne by 60+. Give them a target of 100 points across their two games with a fired up Port first.

The fact we are going to be going for Hawthorn to beat Brisbane in a close game makes me sick. We royally ****ed up top 4.
It’s simple - beat Melbourne by more than Hawthorn beat Brisbane and we are top 4
Also Friday will be fun, one eye on Ken and Boaks last game, If Port beat GC and we beat Melbourne, should also see us finish top 4

If Brisbane beat Hawthorn it leaves us with only one avenue to finish 4th and that's maintaining a percentage advantage over GC (assuming they win their 2 remaining games and we beat Melbourne).
If Hawthorn win that opens up a secondary avenue so a finish as high as 3rd is possible.
In both scenarios the risk of slipping to 5th on percentage is still a possibility.
