you wont beat freo, and remember carltons no certainty either. Round 3, cracker of a game and most essendon supporters thought they were due for a mass percentage boost. It may be better to just tank because i dont think you can make finals and its better to finish 12th than 9th.

It's funny how often people overlook the feelings of players in relation to tanking. If Essendon finish 12th, even if it's only because of percentage, it does nothing to help the player mindset. If we finish 9th, there will be a much greater feeling that they're good enough having been right on the cusp of the top 8.

I don't mind dropping back in the draft queue 3 places if it means that that player confidence is enhanced. Chances are that clubs around that range are all going to be looking at different people anway.

The way I see it, we should try and finish as high as we can.

It could also be seen that Essendon wins 10 games this year compared to 3 1/2 last year and so far have defeated the top 4 sides from last season at least once.

Even if they finish 12th or 13th its a big improvement from last season it may only be poor percentage that keeps them from finish 8th or 9th

Yet by the same theory, we should consider that Geelong has wasted its time winning so many games.

We all know, including good Cat supporters like you, that you will make the grand final and choke on it, allowing some scum team like Collingwood or Gold Coast to win a flag they dont deserve.
