Thanks for that. Cynical bitter p***k is Malthouse. Has to keep the spotlight on himself. Funnily enough in his pregame preview on 7 he said Collingwood would win by somewhere between 1-2 goals. They won by 8 points, we had 8 more scoring shots, were inaccurate, pretty much controlled general play and failed to take our chances and all of a sudden we are not worthy of being on top of the ladder ? Why not say that in his pregame review if he thought that ? If anything in a very contested game of footy when there was any fluency in the game we actually looked better than Collingwood so one wonders what he thinks of them. Fwiw went to a Luncheon last year at the local footy club and Brad Hardie tells a story of Malthouse treatment of players at Footscray and in particular Doug Hawkins. Anyone who has heard the story of his treatment of Hawkins or knows Malthouse would only come to one conclusion. Oxygen Thief and Absoloute Dog of a man.

AFL great Mick Malthouse has slammed Sydney Swans, accusing them and Adelaide Crows of not being good enough to occupy the top two spots on the ladder.

Mick has explained his comments and basically says he doubts whether Adelaide and sydney could beat Collingwood or hawthorn on the big stage either at home or away. Mick also said he believes collingwood and hawthorn are best 2 sides in the comp.

He does not think that adelaide and sydney don't deserve to sit top two.

Unless i was reading Latvian he basically said that a favourable draw had flattered their standing at the top of the Ladder. That to me says he thinks they are not worthy of top spot. Where has he clarified his comments about beating them on the Big Stage Home or Away ?

in some ways having the crows easy run home is a curse. 3 blow out victories against inferior opponents is not an ideal preparation for your first final.
We'll be coming off 2 tough games that should have us cherry ripe for the finals, whether we win them both and finish first or lose them both and finish forth.

I don't care who we meet in week 1 of the finals if we finish top-4, even Adelaide or Collingwood.

Against Adelaide, I see our previous experience and senior stalwarts as the key to our certain victory.
Against Collingwood, I'd love nothing more than to break the streak against them at the MCG.

BF meltdown would be EPIC! :D

In all cases, there would always be 'next week' just in case. :thumsbu:

I'm about a half hour late because of reception but wtf with the live ladder that had Adelaide on 64pts and top. Fairly sure game is still in progress and still in the balance.

So after tonights results - If the Swans beat the Bulldogs and Hawks, we are assured of the minor premiership.

Just watched Game Day, Richo has us losing our last 2 and finishing 4th, beginning to dislike him

lol. I think we'll lose to the Hawks, but i think we can beat Geelong. Couldn't have asked for a tougher 2 weeks heading into the finals.
