Ive copped alot of crap from mates for defending laddo..showing more and more every week after his broken arm, before he broke it was playing well, and now after it his continuing on his good form.. 35 touches tonight, 5 marks and a goal. Set for a big year, anyone one else rate him as highly as i do??

Great game, but I'd want him to do that another 5 times during the season when the tempo and the phsyicality is up a notch. Looks fitter and bigger, and we all know he's got the skill and courage.

will be one of our biggest improvers this season and will hurt opposition sides because he will slip under their radar, no one knows anything about him and i hope it stays that way for as long as possible

Question has always been if his body will allow him to remain injury free enough to play at this level. There are others (Barker, Bateman) with the same sort of question marks sadly.

Very good tonight but don't reckon the Crows gave him to much respect just the same, seemed unmarked early and they only really sent a player (from what I could tell from the tv coverage) to run with him after half-time (Reilly from what I could tell, though they both still seemed to play as wide as the ground allowed).

But encouraging game certainly, just hoping he can now put the injury blight behind him and kick on from here.

Yeah was definitely impressive. Needs a big season and needs to remain injury free. If he could develop into a classy handy midfielder it would help us no end. Our midfield seems to be getting stronger by the match. Rotate Laddo through the midfield and he gets under the radar.
The future is bright for this mighty club! :thumbsu:

I was very scepticle about Ladson, Even going to the point of saying this will be his last year. But now even last week against Richmond i thought he played well and last night he blew my mind. I hope it keeps it up, he has a great disposal by foot, which is vital in our high possesion football. We need to build our game plan around solid kicks like Ladson, Young, Hodge, Mitch, Crawf etc.

We've shown a lot of faith in him after signing him for 2 years and it could pay off. He has alot of talent in him but his body has not been able to stand up to the rigours of AFL footy. 35 possessions is an awesome return from Laddo who can break the lines and carry the ball.

More please.

He seems to have his zip back that he lost after his injury (knee few years back). That pace, and left foot was his asset, now he's got a little bigger round his arms and shoulders could be about to step up for us.

Clarko obviously rates him if they extended his contract by two years mid-way through last season. Think he has a bit to offer.
