I don't blame you guys for writing him off simply because of age (26, turning 27 by next season) but I think a lot of non-North fans don't understand the type of surgery H has had on both his achilles. This surgery was done because H had been playing in pain for most of his career. He DID NOT tear his achilles so people comparing him to Rocca et al are simply mistaken. If anything, this surgery should be viewed as a positive because he will come back a better player in 2012 and beyond. North obviously don't have any concerns about his ability to return because they offered him an extension until 2013 while he was doing his rehab.
He'll be a great asset for 4-5 years to whichever team he plays for. I appreciate you want to recruit a 10 year player but people saying he's finished must surely have been misinformed about his surgery.
