You have Goddard who went at #1 who through lack of quality performance would be worth about #10 right now.

You want 3 of pick #1, #4, Walker who was #2 but through lack of quality performance has blown out to about #8 now (less chances than Goddard), Waite who was a third round father son selection who if he was in this years draft would go #1 no ifs buts or maybes.

So you want something worth about #10 for two #1's and a #4 or a #8.

I find the original post completely offensive,otherwise I would not have come back to it today.

As i have said before BJ has played nearly every game since being signed by the club. He averages more than 15 possessions per game, has a very good football brain and at least two BOG's to his credit.


To suggest that the Saints would take a 30 year old former Saints reject and pick 35 (or 20) is completely outrageous no matter what you now say . I don't know how many times it has to be said that the Saints DO NOT recruit players over 25 and who are not capable of playing 100 games for the club.


Watts and thomas again reinterated that this currenrt trading sesssion.

Goddard is certainly worth two of the picks/players I mentioned before, if not three.

You are leaving out the draft pick they offered up. That changes it markedly.

IMO any trade involving Goddard and Lappin would have involved us giving over somewhere between pick 7-10 as well. From a Saints point of view, they would have liked maybe a pick 10 and pick 20 to get some value out of the deal and scratch Lappin altogether. We didn't have pick 10 so the Blues posters were posting based on what we did have.

For a straight player swap, it would have been Goddard for Walker, no draft picks. Goddard has been around a year longer, has had limited impact on the best players list and Walker slightly less impact. Goddard went at #1, Walker at #2. Both struggling to find their niche at their respective clubs. Both sets of fans are sure they will come good and dominate eventually.
