Laptop - TV Adaptor/Tuner

Hey guys,

I just have a run-of-the-mill Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. Before going into a computer shop etc and looking quite the fool, I thought I would ask the good folk from BigFooty.

One of my friends has his computer set up to watch tv - how do I go about this? I am not talking about cables running from the tv to the laptop, but a tuner etc to get them to the laptop. What do I need to buy to be able to get channels on my laptop? Also, is it possible to get the digital channels or just analogue through the tuner?

Cheers

Why couldnt you get decent reception though? Are they usually dodgy?

If its a case of buying an external antenna to connect it to I'd happily get that. The problem is the antenna on the roof of the house is being a bitch and the people have NFI why it wont work in all the rooms even though its very new... so cant connect a TV in to any room except this small danky room... so I wanna see if getting it done through the laptop is worth it.

you'll need an antenna attached to the usb dongle
i just tried using the little shitty one that came with mine, so i'd suggest a half decent antenna to go with it.
