Good this idea of a friend of mine, thought we could look back at this in a few weeks/months and see how they ended up!

Mine were

Broughton to Suabn to Broughton - Wasnt sure he was more highly rated by Harvey

Lloyd to Cloke - Thought Cloke would move more up the ground with Rocca coming back, and was underpriced by a few ppw.

SJ to ROK - Thought ROK would play his usual role, and hopefully start with a bang.

Collier to Geary - Liked Geary's pre season form and thought he would play a perfect outside role on a wing for the Saints

McIntosh to Hille - Had McIntosh last season, and didnt like the talk of heaps of rotations with Petrie and maybe even Hale and Goldstein.

Post yours up and we will have a cry later or perhaps marvel in your mastery!

EDIT: Last not Lat. Sorry about that.

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Bock--> Buckley which in light of recent events may turn out ok if Buckley re-emerges from the wilderness

T.Walker---> Hentschel which has really backfired!!!

Pavlich---> Chapman still praying chappy makes it through the season:)

Thats about it as my team was, in my mind, set in stone for a while

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Bock --> Hodge because I had a bit of spare cash.

Grimes --> Broughton because of injury which allowed:

Pendlebury --> Cross for consistent points
and
Yarran --> Krakouer. Yarran should be an ok downgrade target.

Graham --> Spencer because Graham wasn't named round 1 and I thought Spencer would get a few games.

Pretty good, although the Grimes injury meant I was starting Hill on the ground.

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Can only really remember my last two.

Shaw -> Buckley
Ballantyne -> Ziebell

(These are rough thoughts at what my other 3 would have been)

Hentschell -> Brown
Van Berlo -> Selwood
B Johnson -> T Cloke

On the final day ...

Franklin --> Chapman

Travis Tuck --> Butler - Really hurt for round 1. Not totally writing off Butler though (when he eventually gets recalled).

Graham --> Spencer

Adcock --> Drummond

Broughton --> Collier - Fail

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Broughton --> Suban
Beams --> Robinson
Waite --> Bock
McMahon --> Fisher
T.Tuck --> Mackay

The Broughton/Beams were just before lockout. The Waite/McMahon trades were a few days before. The Tuck trade was a long time before lokcout, Grimes --> Hill and Sylvia --> Pav were around the same time as that one.

Overall pretty happy with how they have gone so far.:thumbsu:

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Wish I could turn a forward into a midfielder!

Maybe even a back to a mid.

Hill (Selected as a back) -> Robinson/Zaharakis
I did Thompson > Otten.

Just moved JZ to the forward line. Not as easy now though.:)

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Goddard -> Scotland

Sidebottom -> Ziebell

Sidebottom was more of a placeholder till I made up my mind on the 3rd newbie forward, whereas Scotland over Goddard was a pure gut pick.

Everything else had been set in stone for a week.

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

I did way too many to list - I shifted Houlihan and Skipworth all over the place. I will make up a few of the regular ones, not necessarily the last, to capture the spirit.

Gibbs to T Tuck
Waite to Adock I think
Goddard to Lockyer
SJ to Chapman (swapped between them a lot)
Bartel to Ablett

that sort of thing

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Dont remember all my final 5 trades, but these three stand out:

Petrie -> Simmonds
Newman -> McMahon
Ziebell -> Hentschel

Needless to say, they have all backfired.

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

What's wrong with the Simmonds one, he scored well in the first game? Maybe a little early..

Anyway, I think mine were Grigg ---> Reilly (Forced by injury. Lose, lose either way there really so far)

Broughton ----> Suban (Lucky so far)

Browne ---> Jacobs

That's pretty much it, the rest of my team had been set for a while

Re: Lat 5 trades before lockout.

Ellis -----> Raines
Boak -------> Priddis
Deledio -----> N.G.Brown

Ellis to Raines would have to be my biggest regret.

Otherwise my team had been ready.

Simmonds has looked shocking these first two rounds. Ottens went down early, and he still couldnt dominate Blake. He looks slow, and im predicting a big slide this year (similar to when Lade went off the rails). Petrie by comparison has gunned it, and is coming into his prime (26 years old from memory). Could easily average 90 this season.

Houlihan --> Boomer (forwards)

Grimes --> Malceski

Haselby --> Otten

Yarran --> Garlett
