Exactly. When i was a mechanic at a Ford dealer the boss had one to drive. Not only the accellaration was out of this world, i found the car's breaking power was just as good. My head would nearly hit the windscreen!
Not sure if this is a troll, I6 engines are generally considered one of the best engine configurations for smoothness (mechanically symmetrical) and producing a lot of torque at lower revs. Considering that all the huge HP Supras and Skylines from the 90s, and the best M3 of them all (E46) all used straight-six engines, it's stupid to blame the issues with your XR6 on engine configuration.I have a 2013 XR6 MkII - first falcon Ive owned and I hate it. Sluggish, heavy, clunky, unresponsive, bluetooth connectivity is awful, guzzles like you wouldn't believe, aircon is shit, clunky transmission is massively over rated. Guess that's what you get with a straight 6.
My old VZ commodore had more guts. I miss it.
To be fair, most Holdens and Fords are pieces of shit. The vz commodore is a piece of shit..

That's the thing, you don't own an XR6. No one who owns one would call the German ZF 6-speed 'clunky', as it's used in older model high-end BMWs and is generally considered one of the best auto slush-boxes in the world. There's also the fact that a 2013 XR6 goes from 0-100 a good 2 seconds quicker than a V6 VZ Commodore, so your subjective opinion on what is 'gutless' goes against the very laws of physics.Well what else makes my XR6 so gutless and shit
Yeah it seems to vary from car to car. The heater takes a long time to get going because it depends on the engine temperature. Most cars these day use aluminium cylinder blocks because they are cheaper and lighter, meaning greater fuel efficiency. The Ford Barra engine uses a cast iron cylinder block, which is stronger, heavier, more durable and takes a lot longer to heat up. Their durability allows them to do 1 million km + with ease when properly maintained, which is why most taxis are Falcons. Cast iron blocks can handle a lot more power and are way better for modding (Toyota JZ and Nissan RB engines also use cast iron blocks) than aluminium ones.I find the heater shit but air con is great. To get any heat out of it even if outside is 2 degrees you need to crank it to 27+.

The aircon is shit though.
Step away from the mirror sunshine. I'm sure your VZ was a wonderful vehicle. Also, FG Mk II XR6s don't come in 'black with golden stripes'. Try to do some cursory research next time.LOL at the naivety of ford and holden fanboys thinking their 'beasts' are so awesome
your xr6 has stripes ?Yeah but I do own one mate Im looking at it right now in the carpark. Its a gutless piece of shit. Its black with gold striping. When I put it in reverse it clunks. When it changes up through the gears it clunks.
It feels like I'm driving a Winnebago.

pretty big fail if true
Stick to sinking cats piss in your best ford racing number next to conrod straight, handsome
Has anyone stopped to consider that maybe Hudu Gurusingha's Falcon XR6 is a piece of shit, and that his XR6 being a piece of shit doesn't equate to all XR6's being shit or make him a liar because all XR6's are awesome?
