Drag Me To Hell

How the **** is this rated so highly on IMDb? It's a piece of shit. Shit acting, shit plot, shit movie.

The Education of Charlie Banks

Fred Durst's debut movie as a director. It hasn't seen a wide release and I don't know if it's even on DVD here, but I caught it on Foxtel the other night and it's a pretty decent film.

Sherlock Holmes. Was Stripeys choice, and I must admit I did not want to go see this one, but I was really suprised. Really enjoyed this movie.. didnt take it seriously, just some good fun and quite a few laughs. And a special shout out to the audience in the Geelong cinema.. they were compltely SILENT.. I was really surprised about how quiet everyone was.. seems these days most people are rude asshole in cinemas now..

and
on DVD, Run Lola Run. Another choice of Stripeys, and was really good, very clever movie. Kind of Sliding Doors- what if THIS happened instead and how it changes subsequent events later on... Highly recommend it. :thumbsu:

Pretty good film, did an oral presentation on it for year 12. Franka Potente does a great job as Lola.

The best part were when robbing the supermarket again and one of them got hit by a bus as they were escaping. :D

Here's a fun fact... during filming for seven weeks (!!) she couldnt wash her hair.. otherwise the dye would fade.

I really do have to watch it again.. the movie moves pretty fast.. and half the time I was annoying Phil, asking all these questions about it haha. But yeah that was fecking hilarious. I also loved how they did those quick shots of the bystanders lives and what happened to them later on.

Match Point (again), Office Space (for the 50th time now, lol), Chaos Theory (good albeit slightly weird comedy with Ryan in it)... and.. this one called "Chalk", an American mockumentary style about the public school system... it was "meh".. and it just made me realise how ****ing awesome "Summer Heights High" is when compared to what the yanks came up with, lol.

And i was a tad disappointed with the 3D.. i thought some parts would like "shoot out" at you.. you know???
I didn't think the 3D was too bad. But there are other 3D movies on the way that may be a better experience. The new Shrek movie, Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story 2 (3D version of it) etc..

Samson and Delilah, paired with My Sisters Keeper... in the one night.

Dam how stupid was that, they're both such "heavy" movies. SnD was truly a great -yet very dark and depressing- movie. Movies with hardly any dialouge (like this one!!!!! jesus, the script writer had an easy job lol), really really piss me off, so I'm really glad I resisted the urge to turn it off half way thru..

My Sisters Keeper was ok, better than expected. Typical hollywood layin it on "thick" like they do, but still a quite touching movie.

Tonight I'm glad there's something mindless on TV like Gone in 60 Seconds! :D:thumbsu:

Up In the Air, with George Clooney.

Saw it an Nova (forgotten how wonderful that cinema was. Was also nice to be in a cinema free of teenyboppers, thus everyone was dead silent during the movie :thumbsu:)... anyway, the actual film was very very good. George plays this guy who goes around firing people from their jobs (thus allowing the boss to avoid the task)... but then his own job may soon change and his days of travelling around the US may come to an end, via technology.

Anyway, was a very good film, with some very funny (and sad) moments. :thumbsu:

Funny People - 3 stars.

You would think having actors like Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill PLUS being written/directed by Judd Apatow and named FUNNY People would be a comedy movie. Wrong, it's much more a drama film, so don't expect to watch this and laugh much. It's also quite long and could possibly bore you, but it's not too bad if you have the time to waste. Eric Bana is also in it, and there is a scene with all his St Kilda crap :)rolleyes:) and they watch a game against Collingwood... Him calling them the Maggies, I hardly hear anyone ever call them that? It was just weird him calling them that and his accent sounded funny with all the Americans, we don't sound that bad do we? >_> Lol.

Spread - 3 stars.

Ashton Kutcher stars in this and shows his hot arse.

District 9 - 3 stars.

I couldn't take this seriously, I laughed at things that I shouldn't have and just an overrated film. Meh.
