Before you start thinking of a home final we might not even make them. We need to win. If we win next week against Port at AAMI stadium we'll get a home final. If we lose next week and if Geelong win 1, Brisbane/Port win 1, Melbourne/Bulldogs win 1 we will miss the finals.

Melbourne play Essendon next week - Should win
Bulldogs play Collingwood next week - Should win
Geelong play Richmond next week at Skilled Stadium - Should win

A loss and we'll fall to bloody 9th on percentage :(

I was thinking the same thing, as good as last night was it's still possible that in a weeks time we may be feeling what we would be feeling now had J lo kicked the ball out on the full and we lost by a point.

If the cats win today and win next week we wont get 6th. Start praying the toast dont tank.

If brizzy win both games as well we will be eigth.

Either dogs or dees winning both games by huge margins could put us ninth.

We can still make the eight even if we lose next week. But its bloody complicated.

im probably cursing us with this, but there is no way you will beat us at AAMI. no chance in hell.
Didn't Carlton draw with someone there? Who was that? Must have been the other Adelaide side if we're no chance in hell of winning there against Port.

Kapow - Port are not the team they were a year ago, very inconsistent and slow in the midfield, where we are really starting to show something. Their back line cannot hold Pav & McPharlin plus we belted them earlier in the year quite easily and will beat them again.

We nearly rolled Adelaide in Adelaide and won key games in Melbourne, so we have shown that we can win on the road.

I predicted that we would make the finals weeks ago and I am more confident than ever that we will be there and put up a great show.

I have had a flutter that we will make the GF this year - Why not!!!!

With the cats smashing the egos today we will need richmond to beat geelong next week and Brisbane to lose one of their last 2 games to finish 6th and get a home final. If we win next week and have to travel we will probably play Geelong on the MCG. I'd be happy with that considering it isn't their home ground and we beat them in Victoria earlier in the season.

Thats 3 weeks in a row wet toast have hampered our finals chances. If they had beaten the dogs and the cats we would have been able to qualify with 11 wins. The good thing is that our destiny is still in our own hands. We won at AAMI last season and the confidence of the playing group is high. The match up on Treadmill is a concern. Get that right and we should win. Would it be worth sending McPharlin to CHB and playing Polak and JLo inside forward 50?

I do not think Treadmill is that much of a concern anymore. Good player but not what he used to be. Grover maybe the man. After Saints game it showed how important McPharlin is up forward. Port have to contend with both Pav and McPharlin.

Jimbob, it's not that complicated. If Freo win, and either Geelong or Kangaroos lose (admittedly they will both start warm favourites) then we can get 6th or even 5th if they both lose.

Anyone thought about a draw? It'd do it for us, and screw Port. :D

And it's no longer possible for us to miss the 8 on percentage if we win on Saturday. We will finish no lower than 7th, or 8th if Melbourne destroy Essendon. Come to think of it, that'd be a good result, because then we could play the Kangaroos in the first week of the finals.

I`m on the Dockers next week. Coming equal 1st in a tipping comp & need a roughie to break the deadlock as I`ll only come 2nd on countback. Just got a feelin that the Pav will turn it on.
Just for the record, I tipped Port this week too!
Good luck lads!

If you are refering Treadmill to Tredrea well i think you should be worried about him. He could of kicked 7 goals last wee but instead kicked 2.5 with a few hiting the post. In the past i have seen Tredrea rip Freo apart often kicking 7 goals.

Well, lets hope that if he gets a kick, he can keep up his same accurracy at hitting the post.

Why does this thread EVEN exist.

Freo have no chance in hell of winning on sat nite, its not in their nature. Oh, and did someone forget to tell you that it was at AAMI stadium?

As for the comments on Tredrea, I suspect he will dominate.

Thanks for pointing out the game is AAMI. Without you the entire 33,000 Docker's members would have forgotten and turned up at Subi.

I agree Tredrea will likely dominate. Whether he can get close enough to goals and kick straight enough to win the game off his own boot is a moot point.

And I suspect that if you think we are no chance of winning that you don't go down to the woods today.

Essendon beating Melbourne is your best shot although you dont want the dogs to thrash us next week otherwise you have no hope in making the finals.

You are a shadow of the team of 2004 and are very beatable. Treadmill has also had his day. The crows were lucky to beat us and they are a far better team than you lot.

Pav loves your ground and is ready for a big one.

So, Tredrea will kick more than one goal this time then.

It's Freo's sacred duty to win. About 80% of South Australians want it so, at least we will get some months respite from the self congratulatory blowhards that support PP. :D if you win.

It would appear that alot of PP supporters on Bigfooty are pumping their team up like blowfish, and you know what every young boy likes doing with blowies ............. fling them against the jetty inumerable times.
