If we use our late draft picks, even pick 36, would we be wise to use one or two on players such as Gilham, Logan or Spaanderman? Or are we most likely going to take kids? Cheers.

******** you ask alot of questions Paddy.

i think we use all our draft picks in the national draft on kids this year. No recycled players what so ever.

Wouldnt mind if Carlton had a crack at a player like Bailey from Norwood - finds a bit of the ball, great skills on both feet and is still young 20's... this years draft dosnt look strong so wont be to much of a waste

Kids!
Mature age players have mostly been failures - Bowyer, Bannister etc
We need to develop our own superstars and not rely on other clubs rejects.

Well if our last pick is pick 36 we should grab a kid for sure, but any lower then that and i would like th club to look at the likes of Llane Spanderman, Tom Logan, Dylan Smith, or even a callinan from Tassie which was pointed out earlier.

pick the kids time for CFC to do some serious rebuilding instead of getting old hacks like we have done in the past...

Nah Carlton can't afford the luxury of taking risky players such as Cupido, a side like West Coast or St.Kilda should give Cupido another crack because if he turns his attitude around he will be an awesome pick-up. I suggest Perth will be the ideal location for Damien.

I wouldn't touch Spaandermann with a 40 foot pole since we just delisted Norman. And I don't think it was a lack of talent that held Llane back.

Stephen Gilham is still the same size as when he was drafted and was one of the players Watt booted a lazy ten on in the SANFL.I'd rather the club punt on an inexperienced bottom aged player such as Jake Edwards or Paul Currie which has been sugggested by Footyman and 79Vintage/

Spaaderman has 'attitude' problems. Party boy and did not develop.
Can you say Karl Norman?

Disappointing to hear that about Spaanderman. Gilham may be ok but has had many injuries.

The club is not going forward with these types of players. Does not create a good environment or team spirit. Angwin, Norman and others.
If we recruit any experienced type players then they need to pass the character test.
Cupido, Zantuck do not.

Mitch Clark would also be a worry.

Would you blokes consider Ross Young from the Bullants..say for pick 68 ?
Don't think he'll be considered to be honest............has a nice left foot kick, but is a bit on the small side and doesn't have the blistering pace or a ball magnet to off-set that. We'd be better of taking a punt on another young KPP IMO.
