Hardly "latest" news this was reported on the 5pm channel 10 news , since then Malthouse , McGuire and Swan have denied it happened.
SportsTonight are still going with their "Channel 10 understands" line.

does it really matter?

i doubt Mick would have done that anyway, fall on his own sword i mean....there is unfinished business and he doesnt strike me as the type of bloke to walk away, even with 5 or 6 rounds to go in THIS season

Why does everyone want Buckley to coach?
Buckley is at least 5 years away from full time coaching.
Say 2006 is his last footy year he will probably take 2007 off and do part time media work. 2008-2010 he should be an assistant coach at a club.
If he is a coach right after retiring he will be a poor coach ala T.Shaw as he hasn't had a chance to expand his footy knowledge and techniques outside of the Collingwood environment.

No idea! i think your right it will take him a few years but i think he woudl make a good coach as he is respecetd by the players! but first he needs a premiership as a player! dare i say that he is probably best of moving to stkilda for that
