Launceston Sunday - 12 races!

Can anyone remember a thoroughbred meeting with 12 races every occurring before? I know the Devonport meeting got washed out last week but I could swear certainly in Victoria 10 races is the max. for jockeys safety/welfare.

FWIW, the first at 11.05 and the last at 5.35. And they had enough ballots to run a 13th race. Racing must be going ok down there at the moment.

Anyone got a tip or two for the meeting?

You would be hard pressed if you couldnt pick atleast one winner from that meeting

I can remember going to an 11 race meeting over here at Strathalbyn years ago.

Absolutely magnificent for Tassie racing. All down there should absolutely delighted. If I was to win enough on Saturday to cover expenses (big call, prob about $400) I'll fly down for the day.

Plenty of winners in Tassie today. They should do that every Sunday

Victoria and New South Wales say they have the best racing, but they can only manage 7 or 8 race cards for midweek events with 6-8 horses per field.
