Top o the mornin’ to ye, good citizens of Sweet, and thank you for joining me today.
Nearly 12 months ago I was tasked with the toughest job in qooty, leading the Baghdad Bombers FFC out of obscurity and onto the path of that ever elusive premiership.
From the day that I took over I was very clear with my club that I would step aside at the end of S31, premiership or no.
In my time at the helm of my beloved Baghdad Bombers I have encouraged inclusiveness, self-righteousness, narcissism, and a want to improve the overall quality of the league across the board. I believe I have exceeded all expectations given that through my hard work and dedication to the cause I have led this proud club to a prelim and the big dance, but was unable to snag that flag before my time to step aside came.
So here we are my beloveds, I am sticking true to my word that I gave the Bombers hierarchy in the wee early rounds of S30 and I will be stepping down from the top job to focus on giving back to the community that has already given me so much.
I’d just like to take a moment to thank my teammates for their unwavering support during my reign, and to the wider Sweet FA community for all the feedback they’ve given me over the last two seasons. The overall gist was that the Baghdad Bombers have become a far more enjoyable club to post against in match threads and in general conversation, and we have kept this exact feedback in mind when selecting our new and improved leadership structure which will be announced in here in the coming days/weeks.
Once again I’d like to thank everyone for their constructive feedback and support, and I look forward to creating more content this coming season in conjunction with some other Sweet FA identities.
Stay tuned for some big announcements.
Much love,
Vein xoxo
