My question is, how much of a role does leadership potential play in selecting a player in the draft?

Couldn’t imagine a complete turkey but who is a brilliant leader being selected.

But if a best say 25(?) player is a brilliant leader that might happen. However, I imagine that might only happen if there’s a shortage of leadership in the squad. (???)

Maybe Hodge at Brisbane? Probably got a year or so more because of leadership than he’d have played just on talent at Hawthorn.

There has been discussion on this BB about the possibility of our lack of leadership. So your question will be an interesting watch with the addition of the older Richmond imports into a squad increasingly full of younger players.

I think that happened this year with the split of pick 3 to get Baker.
