In all seriousness, what do we do next year? Do we throw a young tall in at FF and try to develop them in the seniors? Do we line up much the same as we did this year? I for one would prefer that after each season we didn't come out and make statements about being aggresive in trade week to secure a tall forward. It just never happens. Nobody is going to give up a matchwinning tall. We need to develop one ourselves, plain and simple.

i see what you did there. Wouldnt mind have Nick Davies in the team. Great Kick at goal and would most likely kick 20 - 30. Good thinking xD

I assume you're both taking the p*ss!
Can you imagine a forward line with Welsh, Davis and an ageing Johnson in it- opposition defences would puncture a lung laughing- now theres a thought.....
Why don't we draft Allen Jakovich with no 31 into the bargain?

So that's a NO vote for Davis? :D

Tom Williams.
He lacks the smarts to play Lake's role effectively. In any case, what do we do for the other 17 rounds of the season when Tommy is injured?

And I would expect a lot more work in 2009 against taller opponents from Steve Tiller and Andrej's Everitt.

You cant be a developing player for ever.
Everitt should set himself a realsitic goal of 22 games, if he gets through pre-season uninterrupted. He does look like a CHB more than FB, however once he rids himself of those 2nd year blues (and his Willy finals form was like the Skinny of old) he is in our best 22.

As for Tiller, I admire his attack on the ball but at 191cm and perhaps nudging 90kgs next year, he won't be big enough to play FB.

I doubt we'll see Lake forward next year.

Why would we move Lake forward? it doesn't make sense.

He won the best & fairest playing at FB, it is clearly his best position.

I tend to agree. IMO he is one of the better full backs in the comp so why move him in the hope he may become a forward. We have to remember he is a BnF winning FB and I dont think that Everitt, Tiller, Morris and Williams would be able to hold down the last line of defence against the big gorrila forwards.

Buddy Franklin 158 goals (he will come to us because we will drug him he will magicly have no contract left and come to us for pick 1999999)

and I will also put my money on farren ray 79goals at FF :D

Well Chef I feel pretty confident that Cordy and Minson will both kick more goals than Skipper. In fact for Minson I would rate him a certainty to outscore Skipper.

Cordy wont play a game next year. In my opinion Skipper is an option at full forward, but sorry for having an opinion:eek:.

As much as i think Skipper has talent, i don't think he will get much of a chance next year. He has been at the club for 8 years now, and still can't get a regular spot in the 22.

Plus if they were looking to play him at FF, Grant has already got him covered.

Chef, of course you are entitled to your opinion, and I would be ecstatic if Skipper finally nailed a spot that justified his position on the list.

My opinion is that it will not happen and Cordy will play at least as many senior games as Skipper, and that could be zero for both.

Cordy offers hope, while Skipper has rarely provided more than disappointment.

I'd love Skipper to cement a spot a FF as much as the next doggies fan. But the ABSOLUTE reality is, he's not a FF. We've drafted to fill that spot. Grant is our FF for the next 10 years. If he doesn't take this responsibility seriously, we're screwed. But I think this is Grant's chance to be a legend, a champion, a dead set absolute champion on $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. He'll come good - I hope.

Ok, in terms of KPP. We've put our future in the hands of Lake, Everitt, Williams, Boumann, Grant, Tiller, Murphy, Cordy.

We have to make a premiership spine out of that.

The sad thing is, we should be winning a flag AT LEAST ever 16 years. I mean, if there was a ballot from the current 16 years, you'd expect one ever 16 years.

We're in a good spot, but we need to leveredge that.

Go dogs.

I love the bulldogs.

Skipper is our third in line ruckman, so if Hudson or Minson get injured or need a rest guess who comes in. As someone else mentioned Cordy is 200+cm's and about 70KG's so there is no way he's going to play next year as much as we wont him to. Skipper at 193cm's and 90KG's is pretty small for a ruck(he must have long arms:confused:) so maybe a extended spell at full forward is an option, who else do we have? Cant see him kicking 60 odd goals but if rotated with Minson through full forward/ruck/bench aswell as playing Hudson in ruck this could help our forward structure.

I can't see Grant or Boumann playing much more than half a season each, I hope they get opportunity next season. For me leading goalkicker will be Scott Welsh between 50-60 goals.
As long as Johnno, Murphy, Aker, Gia and Hahn chip in with 25-45 each we will be going ok.
