In control of the match but that Villa goal was a real momentum changer. Horrible.
From the sounds we shouldn't have had the corner for our second.

Tough half, and a good game overall. Not much on it.
Thought Zinchenko, Rodeo, Dinho were our best. Foden good as well. For them Grealish is always a threat.
3 in a row for us. Hope we can make it 4 next year.

Congratulations to City on winning the League Cup. 3 in a row is impressive.
We defended well but the better side won. Could barely get hold of the ball other than the first 5 minutes of the game and the last 5 minutes.

Finally saw the mini match. Unlucky villa. Always knew the non use of VAR would cost a team severely with a corner that shouldn't have been awarded

Can't have VAR looking at every FK, corner and throw in. The game will take 300 mins to complete. A corner kick is still just a corner at the end of the day.

You can't have a stoppage, play and then go back because a goaI is scored. Thats just ridiculous.
The corner was weird - don’t know how the linesman possibly thought it wasn’t.

I was on the other side at the other end and it looked fairly obvious to me.
Having said that one about 10 minutes before was called a goalkick when it looked like it came off a Villa player.
Unfortunate for Villa to concede from it, don't think it's the sort of thing VAR should be checking though.

Correct think Mings headed it out from a corner and was called a goal kick.

It's a sport with so few goals that it really wouldn't change the duration of the game that much if a goal from a set piece was checked after the fact.
