Congratulations Leah on being appointed the second Li9 s AFLW Captain. Really pleased with this appointment.

Inspirational defender Leah Kaslar will captain the Brisbane Lions’ AFLW team for the first time in 2019.

Last night the Women's playing group elected Kaslar as the new captain, a decision endorsed by the coaching staff.

Yep. The old "they still provide leadership" line is appropriate but I feel certainly that Lutkins and Virgo offer more leadership potential than a pair who I think are star players but not necessarily VC material. Also lets both of them concentrate on their game.
