Ultimately doesn’t really mean much but… a nice little tidbit that I got hold of.
This was the initial proposal for Pendlebury’s jumper to be worn in his next match.
The AFL knocked it back as it sets all squad numbers on an annual basis and would not allow temporary changes. They also weren’t too keen on the reduced size of the numbers.
The gold #10 is the compromise and the AFL weren’t super keen, but approved it.
