You don't need to wait until the weekend to make a Schnitzel. I'd eat it daily if i didn't want to hit 200kgs

Funnily enough I have a couple of schnitzels in the fridge waiting to go, but they're just the plain ones from the butcher.

Why are people putting up stir fry and pasta recipes?! Those things are everywhere and a two minute phone call with your folks is probably way easier.

A really good one are veggie burgers. You can get patties from Woolies, like four for $2 or something. Get some Sriracha and beet-a-roots and then a few other things of salad. It's piss-easy, filling, not full of terrible muck, and you can get about two days worth of dinner and lunches for about twelve bucks.
In bread or a roll?

Two buck veggie patties from Woolies does not sound very appetising.
Veggie patties are good. They don't have that greasy after taste and seem more neutral to the other things you add to it. I like the macro brand though.

Maybe I'll give them a try then just so I can make a more informed assessment.
I like meat, don't get me wrong. But it's just nice for a change. And yeah you do have to look at ingredients if you want nicer ones.

Not so much in schnitzels, but a lot of other chicken recipes (pasta, stir fries, rice dishes), thigh is much easier to work with than breast. It doesn't dry out.

Schnitzels should just be egg (tiny bit of milk), flour, breadcrumbs, parmesan. As bread starts to go stale, blitz it up and freeze for breadcrumbs. Takes about a minute to defrost once out of the freezer.

I used to be like OP and not know how to boil water. Now I'm 30 and love cooking, especially outdoors. Got 3 different BBQs and built myself a pizza oven.

Would depend on the other things. A tomato relish would be good I think.

Assuming the patties don't taste like turds of course.
At 50c a pop you might be disappointed in the patties.
