Still the second youngest team in the competition. The fallout for Port, Bris, Ess or the Camry Crows would be greater than the other four teams who have a chance to set up their lists for long, sustained tilts at finals series year after year.

Essendons list is the same age as collingwoods 22.3 years. Essendon will be a better team next year than this year.
Essendon rely more heavily on their older players (Lloyd, Hird, Fletcher, Mercuri, Misiti, Wellman) than Collingwood do (Burns, Buckley, Wakelin).
