Big blow to the team's prospects for this year.

Don't understand the obsession to make him into a midfielder. You'd have to say it's a massive fail so far.

At the start of last year I couldn't see us winning a game without him in the team, things have changed since then. Some others will have to step up majorly to get near last year's finish. Impossible to replace one of the top five players in the team.

Absolutely shattered. Ruined my summer. Hopefully he recovers and comes back at the same stage he was at. Such a shame for the guy, the team and for football.

I tore my ACL in pre-season last year and another option I was given was a hybrid. Basically both the LARS and the traditional method were done together. The LARS ligament obviously meant a quicker recovery and allowed play whilst the hamstring graft strengthened and eventually took over. Not sure how common it is elsewhere or whether it has been tried before in the AFL...

This what Peter Annear does and he is the surgeon for the Eagles.

...and it starts.. was wondering how long it was going to take before someone started making comments about the Lecca to midfield move.. Less than a half a day! With bigfooty I shouldn't of had to wonder! Silly me!!

A massive loss and irreplaceable as an individual player, but we will cope with this as a team, as much as I hate losing a player of his calibre..

Terrible news just terrible. Feel for you guys I really do and terrible for football.

This is probably not going to make things any better and I know you cant replace a guy like him easily but you guys have a VERY potent forward line and hopefully it won't effect your chances to much.

Good luck for the season guys:thumbsu:

God damn this sucks. Was hoping against hope that it would be good news.

I guess we may be lucky that he was being looked at for more midfield time this year. The blow may be softened because the coaching staff already had plans for the forward line without him there anyway. Im trying to find a silver lining but coming up pretty short.

Re: LeCras

As much as we may dislike West Coast we still do not wish anything bad on any opposing teams players so I hope it is not too serious as we would love to see him lining up in the Derby.
Fair enough.

Better than those pieces of shit on Dockerland thats for certain.

This sucks. Feel for any person who has an accidental injury that effects their livelihood or ability to perform their chosen profession.

Its also a blow to both the team and supporters. Can dominate a match on the scoreboard and the game as a spectacle is lessened when players of his ability go down

Re: LeCras

From a team point of view, there would be a fair few players that we would miss more this season. But that doesn't stop me feeling sick in the guts...

Seeing Nicoski's tweet, I'm confident we'll kick it up a notch and cover this. Like I said before, it's going to make this flag even sweeter.

horrible result for lecca and the club. the poor bloke would be shattered.

i thought he was quite capable of becoming an even better player this year. sucks that we'll have to wait another year to see if he can.

a whole season is also a huge opportunity for one our young guys to step up and hold down a spot.
